Chakaneb/PLaya del Sol/Mr. Sancho's?

Which one do you recommend for little ones 2 and 5. Looking to get off the ship and swim and play in the sand?

From what I've read, Chankanaab is not good for playing in the sand. Not much to do there as far as beaches. The snorkeling is supposed to be great though!

Playa del Sol sounds like it's great for little kids! Lots of fun activities on the beach and in the water!

Mr. Sanchos sounds good too, but I think my pick would be Playa del Sol!

Hi. We have not done Chakaneb, but did take a taxi to Mr. Sancho's, after reading these boards. I don't know, maybe hubby and I are different, but we were not impressed by Mr. Sancho's. At the time we went, the water trampoline was broken, and there did not seem to be much to do for a family there. (Hubby, me, 7Yo S and 5yo D) We decided to walk down the beach to Play del Sol after hubby checked it out. We went up, payed about 8 bucks each, and had a WONDERFUL day. They have so much to do there. Our kids had an absolute blast. Hubby rented a wave runner and took the kids out. They took paddle boats (free) out to the "iceburg"....climbed it and slid into the ocean. They also took the paddle boat to the water trampoline and had a blast. Food is quite tasty. I guess it all depends on the person. BUT, if you try Mr. Sanchos first (free), and don't care for it, keep in mind that Play del Sol is really just a short walk down the beach (about 1/2 mile). Just walk to the right, and you will find your way there. Have a great trip. I am sure you will enjoy Cozumel as much as we did, no matter what you pick.

Thanks for all of the great information, I think Playa del Sol is the perfect choice. Did Playa del Sol have shaded areas and seats?
