Chairs at work

Well they have taken the chairs away at work, and it does make things harder, by the end of the shift my legs are really aching. What is worse they have removed the chairs in the locker room in one of the plants and they may take them away from the others. I know we still (as of now) will still have chairs in the canteens, but these are rather cold which is why people only eat in the canteen and if not eating sit in the locker rooms. This is so petty I mean what is wrong with people sitting down on their tea breaks?

I would have thought you have a case on health and safety grounds and may come under The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 -
are you in a union - they should be able to help.
