DF has said he really doesn't like the chair covers and sashes!

Since there are few things he has has said he really doesn't like, I'm trying to come up with alternate ideas for the chairs.

My WC sent me this picture to show me what the chairs look like without the covers.

I've done some searching and the two that have my attention the most are:

In Royal Blue and apple green:

Pink Daisys with either royal blue or green ribbons

But neither is really wowing me. I've also considered going and getting some Carousel decorations that Jim Shore has out every year and maybe incorporating them some how since it is a Boardwalk wedding, and we've have the attic for lunch and it has carousel horses in it.

Has anyone done something other than the chair covers? Could you post pictures? Does anyone else have any suggestions? On chair decorations in general or how to incorporate the Jim Shore ornaments? Thanks!

Great question, I was wondering myself. Oh, if anyone has pics on how they decorated their aisle and altar at SBP?

I have this photo saved in my stash:

Edit: Also found this one:

I thought these would be cute for sweetheart table chairs, but you know how some people line the aisle with swags of tulle? If you wanted some bling, you could line the aisle with the garland in that picture. :thumbsup2

Disney offers chairs simillar to the one pictured in Sarah's picture. They're under $15 a piece and come in several color options.

I really like this one! I wonder if it would be cheaper than doing chair covers? I may look into it! I feel like it is a good way to add colour, without trying to dressup SBP too much!

May you let me know as well, I think it's a great idea and hopefully it's cheaper then $8.50 per cover and sash. I wonder if Disney has those chairs in black?

Sure! I don't have my appt with Rosie for awhile still, but I made a note to ask her! I also found this one that looks nice! It just uses tulle as a sash, which I think would look great at SBP!

Pretty! If there's a little breeze it will pick-up the tulle beautifully...

I've never seen the folding chairs in black. I pretty sure they offer this chair for $12.50 or $14.50 a chair:

I think I remember seeing it at Franks.

You could also offer to buy Disney black chairs (not sure how much that would be), but I think I remember reading that's where the white folding chairs came from (but could totally be wrong)

That's pretty expensive, maybe I'll just use the white folding chairs with black tulle.

I have my first phonecall with Rosie next week, and the pink tulle wrapped around the chair ends is one of the pics I'm planning on asking her about, I'll let you know what she says.

The white tulle one you posted is very pretty! I like the pomanders too. I think I'll ask how much that one is with and without the pomanders. If I do it with out, I could maybe have the Jim Shore Carousel ornaments hanging in their place. Or do you think that will be too christmasie? We're getting married Jan. 17th. I know he has figurines of the Disney Princesses riding carousel animals, but I think they may be a bit big.

I also found this picture, which I thought was pretty for a beach themed wedding and could probably be used for a boardwalk one as well.

I may be wrong, but I have a feeling that the nice(ish) wooden folding chairs are not the standard at SBP. I have seen pictures of white plastic patio-type chairs used. I think the wooden folding chairs may be an upgrade in themselves.

Actually, I am pretty sure these (posted in the first post) are the standard ones now. They look like they are made of wood, but they are in fact plastic. You can still upgrade for wooden ones, however. :thumbsup2

Here's a thread from the past about it:

I asked for a picture of the standard chair at SBP, and that was what she gave me but I'll double check with my WC on that one, thanks!
