Chain Stitching on Ears

I heard from a very reliable source today that the chain stitched names on the back of ears (the $2 variety) will be discontinued in the new year, to be replaced by the computerized method (otherwise known as the $7 embroidery). It's a shame - that stitching has been around since the park opened. Not only that, but any time I need ears embroidered, I have to pick them up the following day. Don't know how they're going to handle that!

I think Disneyland is already on the computerized bandwagon... unless I am missing something here. It was pretty cool... DH (the computer nerd) said they are treated as an external hard drive and all the CM's have to do is put in the name. The computer does the rest. That said, it is sad that there is no "art" to it anymore.
