To piggyback off the Body Glide thread(s) lol, when we were up in North Conway last week, it was a 100 degree heatwave. It was unexpected, and both dh and I had some chafing (OUCH!!!) ... I went to Hannaford's grocery store and found this Lanacane soothing and preventing chafing gel. I've never seen Body Glide in real life, so don't know if it's the same as this Lanacane stuff, but it worked WONDERS!!

By the time we got home from Santas Village we could barely walk we were in so much pain, and dreading the next day at Storyland. I got this Lanacane stuff and it soothed it IMMEDIATELY! We used it the next day, and the chafing didn't get any worse. (We reapplied twice during the day)

It's not cheap, the tube is very small, but in a pinch I'm glad we found it!!

Just wanted to let people know it's out there, and SOOTHES the already chafed areas, I'm not sure if Body Glide does that or not.

HTH some :)

I just got my sample in the mail today.

I also purchased the Monistat anti-chafing gel.

The Monistat one is in the area with the yeast infection medications. I'm assuming the Lanacane one is the same product, but packaged/placed to be more male-friendly. :upsidedow I figured I would try both before our Sept Disney trip to see how well they work and if there's any difference. I would like to wear some skirts without needing shorts underneath to be comfortable.

I have the Monistat and use it for a couple of things (at least!)

It's chemical make up and texture is identical to makeup primer (helps your makeup last all day), and a lot less expensive!

So I use it for that also- it's a lot less expensive than Smashbox Primer.....

I have used men's Arm and Hammer unscented solid antiperspirant on my thighs as a preventative for chafing. So far, so good.

Ditto, I use it for makeup primer as well. There was a long thread on here about it recently.

thanks for the sample link! I have no idea why anti chafing gel and makeup primer would be made of the same ingredients, but I'm glad that someone figured that out! I love the budget board!
