Hello! Has anyone gone on an excursion to the Chacchoben Ruins in Costa Maya on another cruise line? How was it? How long was it? About how much was it per person? :confused3 Any tid bits would be helpful.

Thanks! :goodvibes

We really enjoyed it! Lovely lush shaded area--very different from other ruins from what I understand. It it a nice site with several fully excavated temples, but the part we liked best was the fact that they are still excavating, so you can see the work in process. I think this was $50-75 each for a half-day. A storm was rolling in so it was a bit warm and humid by the time we left, but we sure appreciated the shade!
Highly recommend it!
Happy cruising!

Thank you, sounds wonderful. The price range is about what I expected as well. From the pictures I have it does look shaded which I will enjoy.

How far away is 2006? :wizard:

We did the DCL excursion to Chachoben In September when Hurricane Jeanne rearragned our schedule. My DD age 12, and all of the adults really enjoyed it. You get to see a little of the countryside, and tour the ruins, which are fairly shaded (there are a few moments in the sun, but very bearable). I thought it was a great value for what we paid, and allowed for a little shopping time when we arrived back at the port.
