Cha cha - new search engine

I went to Cha Cha .com and filled out their form to become a "guide". How long until they contact prospective guides??

To check your ratings: go down to where it says "Most recent searches" and click on one of the searches. It will show you the rating as well as the sites that you gave.

I just sent feedback. I've had six searches tonight where the infoseeker didn't stick around long enough to rate me and I ended up with a bad.

The last search I had was funny though. The woman wanted a tutorial on how to make an origami jesus figure. I actually found it for her. She kept trying to save me though.

Now, I'm getting training sessions and on the last two the person's keyword has been You've been reported. Luckily I read about that happening sometimes and was able to tell them it was ok.

Where did you read about that? I've gotten that a BUNCH of times (as a trainee not a trainer). I'm off to go search the knowledgebase.

Do we get marked as a Bad if the trainer doesn't stick around long
enough for us to click on I'm done ?

AHHHHHH!!! :badpc:

Okay, was loving it, now I'm getting frustrated. I wannna train sooo bad, but it keeps locking up on me!!! I've had 5 invites tonight and was only able to fully complete one of them!!!! I sure hope these trainers don't think I'm blowing them off...

I'm not sure. I know there have been a couple of times that I was training someone and all of a sudden I couldn't see what they were typing. They were still there because the training was going on. I hope they didn't think that I just left them. I know that when that happens, I don't get paid. In fact it just happened to me a minute ago when I was training a disser: Squidrific.

I just got another bad rating. It was a hard search too. It took me almost 20 minutes. It was a kid who needed info for a report. The hard part was he was looking for several different countries position on the war in Iraq. It was hard to find pages that a kid could understand. The kid was so thankful but forgot to rate me.

Site must be having problems, I can't even get back in now...

How do you know who you were training? I usually just see a first name last initial.

Hi Pigletz. I got thrown off and couldn't finish the training. I haven't been able to get back in since.

I know it keeps happening to me in training sessions. On top of that I just got another bad rating. I helped this guy for over 20 minutes but couldn't find what he was looking for. He was very understanding and thanked me a lot for trying and then I got a bad. I don't think he rated me and it defaulted to 0. He was trying to find out how to do something on his new cell phone and I couldn't find it. He said he had been searching all day and couldn't find it either. Oh well at least it pushed me up over 60 dollars.

Almost all of my trainings sessions lock up and then I can't rate them or they can't rate me. AND I'm not getting paid for a lot of stuff. AHHH!

Ok, I'm all better now.

And, I've been warning every person I'm with on ChaCha about the application problems just in case we get disconnected - which happens nearly every time.

I have faith in the program because the first several days it work great. So it's hopefully just a bug to be worked out.

I wouldn't have known except the one time that I was training her (I trained her 3 times on Disney) I asked her to find me a discussion board for people who love disney. She said the dis was her favorite. Then when her named popped up yesterday and her key word was disney we got to talking and shared our dis names.

I just wanted everyone to know that there is a section for chacha on the wahm discussion board (www.wahm.com.) Almost every question that I've had has already been answered there. Plus they have some threads on funniest searches that are hysterical.

Anyone been on this morning cha-cha ing? I probably will this afternoon, but wanted to see if it's any better today than it was last night...

Have any of you ever had money taken away?? I check my account last night and this morning. I checked it a few hours later and I have around $2 less in my account. What does that mean?

I’m finally getting around to making a list with the great guides in my network with their DIS names. I’m pretty sure I know who everyone is, but could anyone in my network{chacha user Matt S} just send me a PM with your chacha user so I know my list is right.

One more thing, to Amy B & Suzannne D in my network on chacha, could you send me a PM too. I’ve been wanting to touch base with you but wasn’t sure of your contact info.

Does anyone know if we have access to others’ email addresses on chacha? I’d like to be able to set up a group email account so I can email everyone in my network at one time, but not sure of everyone’s email address. I asked chacha this question but haven’t heard back yet.

Keep up the good work everyone. You're all doing a great job. :thumbsup2

I put in a request to be a guide last week when the story aired on GMA. I got an email today asking me to respond with more information about myself: age, country, areas of interest, etc. The message said to expect a reply in 3-5 days.

Good news! They changed the default on the rating system. Now if someone doesn't rate you it shows up as "not rated". I figured they had to change it sometime. How bad would that look if most of their guides had poor ratings but good searches? I found something out by accident. If you go to the chacha site (not the app) and type in one of the keywords that you've done a search on and click on "chacha search" it will bring up previous searches on that topic. You may gave to go through several pages but each search shows the guide's name that performed the search and their average rating.

Well I have been trying to log on too tonight and have not been able to get on...must be a problem with them.

Is anyone else getting training sessions that pop up about being "reported" and whatnot...I have gotten about 20 of them in the last two days...and they keep saying that they don't find a guide.
