CG -RECENTLY with small kids?

Hey,
Just wondering your experiences recently with tiny kids (with you or other patrons) at CG. We've never taken children, but DD (10 mos, usually good at restaurants) will be with us. We're debating bribing my DSis to babysit vs. they have never been and would probably like to go too.
Are kids snubbed more since they changed the system here, where ressies are pretty much necessary to get in? I know we've been around older children there with no problem, but no recollection of infants. We don't want to be the ones who force our adorable, but still a baby, DD's presence on anyone, especially if this might be their once-in-a-lifetime-dinner-at-CG.
Opinions? No flames please. Thanks!!

It's Disneyworld, there are children of all ages at all restaurants (except for Victoria and Alberts). I would take her, but make sure it's early enough and she's fed so she's not too fussy. Honestly I'd prefer a slightly fussy baby over a rowdy 8 year old!

It's actually a very loud restaurant for 'fine dining'.

I'm giving this post and bump (and subscribing to it) because I have the same question. DH and I were thinking about going here on the last night of our trip, but we'll have our baby along with us. He/She will be about 8 months old by that time. DH and I have never been to CG before (we were supposed to go on our honeymoon but had to cancel) so it would be a nice new experience for us, but I wanted to make sure it wouldn't be looked at as inappropriate.

I have NOT been to CG lately - I just want to say "thank you" for being DIS'er's who are actually asking this question out of consideration for others. I'm one of those weirdos who does not agree that kids belong at every WDW restaurant, even if they are "welcomed" by Disney.It's just nice to see someone even ask.....

That said - if you need to be with your infant for any reason - bonding, breastfeeding, anxiety - then he/she should join you for a "nice" dinner.

How nice AND tactful. I wish everyone could express their opinions in such a pleasant way. Myself included
I am with you that Disney pretty much says "bring your kids" to any and all places on property, but I was also once (and still am) the kind of person who gets irritated with a misbehaving or crying child sitting next to me. Thanks for the kudos. We really want to be considerate parents.

CG is VERY noisy, as mentioned before, and there are often lots of kids there. Mostly the ones I remember seeing were well behaved and older. The staff in the past always seemed welcoming to them. It is at the same time a very classy place. Maybe that will help you picture the atmosphere. At one time anyone could walk in and take a look at the view. Now you need ADR and must be escorted in by a hostess after you check-in downstairs. So I don't know if this has decreased the number of small children that come. I had to ask because I have no recollection of babies there.
