Has anyone seen the new policy to make an ADR at CG? They want a $20 per person deposit at the time of booking starting yesterday. I already make our ADR's for 11/15. If I call to confirm are they going to ask for the $$? :confused3

scratch this...found another post, but no one seems to know the answer. AND...I read the policy wrong. $20 pp if you cancel within 24 hours or don't show.

Sounds like another example we can add to the list of things Disney changed policy for due to past abuse. :(

I called WDW dining yesterday to confirm my existing reservation for CG & make sure I wouldn't lose it since they didn't require CC when I booked.
The CM I had said existing ressies will not require CC hold, only if you call to make a change to it (time or amount of people dining). If you are just confirming & not making changes, the system doesn't require a CC.

But, as we have seen before, one CM says one thing & another something completely different. :confused3

But if you are truly planning on dining there, then what's the problem? The deposit will be credited back to you on your final check.

I, too, called yesterday to check on our CG reservation for 12/5, made on the 90-day mark. The CM was lovely, confident, and well-versed in this policy change -- she confirmed that the $20 charge is only applicable to those who make their initial CALL now to make (or to change) a reservation. If you made your ADR before 10/21, regardless of the date of your actual meal, you do not need to put a CC down to hold the reservation.
