CG cocktail after wishes?

My husband I will be having dinner at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse our last evening, and would like to go up to CG for a drink, arriving after Wishes are over. Does anyone have an idea if most diners leave shortly after Wishes, thus improving our chances of being allowed up to the bar? We will be nicely dressed, also (if that makes any difference in being permitted entry!)
I see that it closes at 10, so I am expecting that if Wishes are at 8, that maybe by 9 would be good timing? What does anyone think, or have experienced? Thanks!

We always get the earliest seating possible, which is at 5:30pm, and then head back up for Wishes. When we head back up it is usually very crowded, but afterwards, patrons do start to head back downstairs. There are still a good number of people, but mainly those people are there to finish their meals. We have been known to have a drink after Wishes ends and had no problem finding a seat at the bar, but if you can't find a seat then I would suggest going out on the balcony with your drink. I love looking out over at MK from CG and if you look over to the other side you can see Epcot too which is really cool to see. Have a great time up there.

It's hit or miss, but we usually have no trouble being allowed up to the lounge (even in shorts and sneaks). The bar/lounge area is not usually full.

The Wishes issue will be people flowing out slowing the elevators. You check in at 2nd floor, and they have elevator key to take you to CG. You cannot get up without the CM from 2nd floor.

I don't think you'll have any porblem at 9pm, even 8:45 - just tell 2nd floor desk you'd like to go to the lounge. Great place for a cocktail. The lights and view of the MK area are worth the trip.
