Anyone see anything interesting at CES 2007 related to photography or videography?
I saw that memory card sizes continue to increase. It looks like there will soon be a 32 gig card, which might be marketed as the core drive for a low power computer.
On the video side, it looks like mini-DV is starting to fade. Everyone's new camcorders appear to be focused much more heavily on hard disks and mini-DVDs. It's not clear yet whether mini-DV will shrink to a stable (smaller) market segment or whether it is on the way out of the mainstream.
High Def video is getting still more confusing. There are two major recording formats but it looks like JVC is introducing a variant of their own.
