I'm debating between a 2:30pm and a 5:00pm ceremony.

We're doing the MK photos that morning, which means I'll be up at 4:00am. I know myself, and I'm going to be exhausted later on and the last thing I'm going to want to do is stay out late.

I also wanted to get some post-ceremony photos outside with everyone, but I know in August is rains just about every afternoon. If the ceremony and reception are over by 4:00pm, is that a pretty "safe" time for outside picture-taking? Or would it be better to stick with the 5:00pm timeslot and take pictures at 6:30pm?

I was also thinking of doing the pictures before the ceremony instead. Since we'll have already seen each other in the morning, it's no big deal if he sees me before I walk down the aisle. So in that case, we'd be taking pics around 1-1:30pm.

Help me decide!

My vote is taking the pics before the ceremony. It usually rains early afternoon, but it can stay gloomy later in the day as well. If you're going to have any outside pics, I think they'd turn out prettier if the sky was blue (or, bluer). Plus, then you don't have to be "on" for more hours of the day. Good luck!

I highly recommend taking pictures before the ceromony. We took pictures at 1:30 and our ceremony was at 2:30. We had so much more time to be with our family and friends and we didn't miss out on being with everyone at the pre-reception. I just went to my Nieces Wedding back in NY, she was so upset because she missed all of the pre-reception because the pictures went longer than they planned.
I know for me I wanted to take part in all of my Wedding Day and I wasn't going to miss a thing.
Good Luck and have fun planning.

I agree with the before the ceremony. It was nice to have everything done so that we could enjoy the rest of the day.

When do you get to book the MK photo shoot? Tiggerific04 - you are getting married the day before me and I am hoping to get mine done the day after the wedding, but I haven't been notified yet of my options. How long did it take them to ask you about your add ons?

Actually I can't even book my ceremony until December 18 because we want to use the Wedding Pavilion. I plan on mentioning the MK photos at the same time we book everything else.
