Ceremony suggestions??

DF and I are having a tough time deciding what to do with our ceremony. I can't envision us doing something too serious. We are both pretty goofy characters. We would really like to throw our humor into the cermony but we don't want to give the impression we are being irreverant. I can't see us doing something like a unity candle ceremony at all. No one we know should sing in public so that's out. We were thinking about asking someone to do a reading but haven't found anything that suits us.

Any suggestions on something we could add to our ceremony that would give it a bit of flair??

Hmmm maybe the major duomo or butler? They play a joke on the MOH and BM when the officiant asks for the rings and neither have them. then they come in with the rings. Pretty funny. They basically both play the same joke but are just different themes.

We wanted something more lighthearted and whimsical for our ceremony as well.

Let your officiant know, they can probably help and maybe even offer some ideas.

I wrote a few "extra" lines into our vows (lines from a favorite saying) to make them more personal. We also did a "blessing of the hands" since that really touched me somehow. Maybe look online for some nontraditional, more "relaxed" vows that you can have/say.

We also used all Disney songs for our music (which, while still romantic, did add a touch of whimsy to the day).

My wife and I are adding in our "own" vows to more serious ones....I.E.

I promise to Love, Honor Cherish in sickness health, richer/poorer/better/worse and I promise to remember to turn off the lights when I leave a room. (It drives her NUTS that I can't remember to turn lights off when I leave a room)

I'm suscribing because I would like to learn about different ideas too! I only know of the Sand and Unity candle ceremony but don't know about any others and haven't came across any in my searches.

Any more wedding ceremony ideas would be appreciated!
