Ceremony Only?

Is there a way to do only the ceremony at a disney resort or park? Or is there a nearby hotel that does wedding ceremonies? It will be both of our second weddings and we really want to do something special with the kids only (ages 12,10,8). We plan to be in Disney World in early December and it would be nice to do the wedding ceremony at the same time. Please let me know what you would advise.

No, Escape weddings dont come with an official reception. Its really a ceremony and cake cutting, but many brides are able to do dinners or recetions after the ceremony at an additional cost. A wishes package comes with a reception within the actual package.

Ive actually seen some Escape couples have only thier parents present, or like you said, their children, in my opionion its a good option.

I'm doing an escape wedding with 6 guests...others have had an escape with no guests. It can be done!
And for what you get with the Escape package it's a pretty good deal!

What about the Buena Vista Palace? They do just ceremonies

We are using Fultons crabhouse at downtown disney. There will only be us and 4 guests. Their only stipulation is that you have a meal as well.

No, it could just be you and your children if you like. It includes your bouquet, his bout, a limo for 4 hours, a cake, a champagne toast and 2 hours of photography starting at $4750.

You would need to book an officiant.

Why would you ask about military? Is there a better rate? I am a veteran but that is not why we just want to do a ceremony.

You can have your wedding at shades of green, a hotel right by the GF that Has special rates for military families. They have a wedding package that's really well priced.

That is where I got married, my TR is in my siggie, I just finished the part at Shades of Green. Give Bonnie a call, she is SO NICE and they worked with us so much. We just had a ceremony. PM me and I will tell you prices

Anyway, I am not sure after looking at the shades of green website that I would qualify. I was honorably discharged in 2004 but with 0 disability. Let me know what you think!

Just wanted to chime in about Shades of Green - this week they introduced a new "Intimate Wedding and Vow Renewal Package" for $895 for 14 people. It includes:

• Venue
• Officiant
• Photography by Photo Magic
• Bouquet for bride and boutonniere for groom
• Single-tier cake
• Champagne toast for up to 14 guests

For an extra charge, you can add a reception, Disney characters, a carriage, etc. They're still adding info to the site—eventually there will be pictures of the cake and bouquet choices—but all the basics are here:
