What music are you using for your ceremony? I'd like everything to be all Disney songs (the bridal party, my entrance and the recessional...are any of you doing this? If so, which songs are you using?

We also got quoted $500 for a trio...is that a good price?

Thanks!

We used all Disney songs for our wedding...

Groom's processional: Can you feel the love tonight (Lion King) I let DH pick that one!:rotfl:

Bride's processional: Once upon a dream (Sleeping Beauty)...I love that song!

Recessional: Zip a dee doo dah (Song of the South)....just seemed to be perfect for after the ceremony!:teeth:

We only had a single violinist for our ceremony and it came with the package so I'm sorry I can't be of any help for the costs.

You can also check out this LINK for more song suggestions (both traditional and Disney).

Hope that helped a little!

Well the Wishes info packet says a Classical String Trio costs $1,365, so if that's anything to go by, you got a good deal! Now if we're talking about a Kazoo Trio, that's something different... :lmao:

We used songs from the Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean in our processional and recessional, but we played a CD of the original recordings rather than having musicians play them.

Wow I guess this lady quoted me a good price then!

For all the brides that had outside weddings....

Is it cheaper to go with the sound system & play music on a cd or is it cheaper to go with a musician?

Can you have a sound system in the WP?

I have my heart set on the score from Enchanted as my processional....

It depends on the musician. Our sound system was $993 (including tax and service charge - $785 before tax and service charge) in Epcot, but that included microphones for the groom and officiant. So even if you got a cheaper musician, you'd have to pay for some kind of system if you need microphones to be heard (say over the sound of the waterfall in Japan).

Here are the musicians who cost less than $900:

Flute $525
Classical/Jazz Guitarist $525
Key West Style Guitarist $745
Harpist $800
Pianist (includes piano rental) $820
Violinist $525
Vocalist (Ceremony) $650
Bagpiper $500

Groom Processional - "Answer" - Sarah McLachlan

Bride Processional - "At My Most Beautiful" - R.E.M.

And Recessional (I'm working on talking him into this) - "Shiny Happy People" - R.E.M.

I bought sheet music for the first two, but we'll see about the last one! I want something happy for the recessional, and you can't get more happy then being shiny and happy! lol :lmao:

I want all disney music!!

My OH loves kiss the girl and you'll be in my heart, so I imagine they'll feature.

For my processional I will have the intrumental of True Loves kiss from enchanted.

And I want the intrumental of 'Ever ever after' for our recessional

Then 'So Close' will be our first dance.

You may have noticed we are BIG enchated fans!

For the processional we're thinking of using the Jim Brickman version of "When You Wish Upon a Star". It's between that and another piece of music that's a bit more personal to us. The thing I like about "When You Wish Upon A Star" is that the next line is "Doesn't matter who you are", which I think is very appropriate for a commitment ceremony at Disney.

For the recessional, we've found an instrumental version of "Go The Distance" from Hercules. Hercules is Scott's favorite Disney movie, and the it's got a nice feel for a recessional. Plus the "Go the Distance" sentiment is nice way to close our ceremony.

OMG - I know everyone rags on that movie, but DANG if that song doesn't pop into my head all the time - so catchy! :lmao:

I don't know why people rag on that movie (they do, though, you're right). We like it. And Hades is Scott's favorite character of all time. (I'm a toss-up between Stitch & the Evil Queen). He really likes this song, and I was trying to figure out a way to work it into our day somehow.

When I found this and suggested using it as a recessional, it made him smile. :yay:

I'm hoping to have it start right after the "I pronounce you partners in life, for life" part, right before we kiss, so the music swells just as we break the kiss and head back down the aisle.

Can you tell I've overthought all of theses things WAY too much?

Oooo Kiss The Girl--I completely forgot about that one. Everyone's talking about the songs form Enchatned...I feel WAY outta the loop...anyone know of a place I can hear them?

From my instrumental Disney CD I like "Beauty And The Beast"--but is that weird for a wedding with beast and all, LOL? And "When You Wish Upon A Star"
