Hi ladies!!
I know of all the people I know, ya'll will be able to help!! My fiance (hehe, it's still weird to use that word) have just been engaged for a few days now, but we've been talking for a few weeks about what we want in a wedding. After he proposed, we finally sat down and talked about what we want.

I think we've decided that we want a quick-and-dirty ceremony this coming december. We were thinking just a courthouse, but I said hey, we live in Florida, we can get a little more creative for not too much money. So I thought maybe at a beach or small chapel somewhere in Orlando with just our parents and 9-10 other friends. Then to add a disney touch, some pictures and dinner at one of the resorts with just us, parents, and my MOH and his best man. Does that sound feasible? I'm like 80% sure there won't be a problem being a "non-disney bride" and taking pictures/eating at one of the resorts. I spotted a res at Citricos for 8 on Wednesday the 9th, so I figured it couldn't hurt to make it just in case. They asked if I was "celebrating anything" and I said it was a wedding dinner, and she put our names down and what was being celebrated. Just imagining how pretty the GF christmas decorations are at christmastime makes me a little giddy!

We're local to Orlando (except my parents) so accomadations aren't an issue. We aren't going to hire a big professional photog - DFi's friend who dabbles in it is going to come and snap some shots and stuff.

So does that sound feasible? Everything will be allowed with me in my pretty white dress? I especially don't want to cause any trouble since I still work seasonally for Disney and don't want to jeopardize that. We're also planning a big ol' wedding up in Buffalo (where I'm from) sometime over the summer for our families, so I definitely don't feel like I'm missing out on any of the big stuff like nice pictures or floral arrangements :)

That definitely sounds feasible. I know I've eaten at Disney resorts w/7 other people. I think it's okay to wear your dress at the resorts too (I mean I will be, lol). The GF X-mas decorations are def. nice! If you have Comcast, I know there was a thing On Demand that showed 'em, and I think someone has pics somewhere on here.

I wish my DF's friend could take pics, but he's a groomsman. :( LOL.

I think since you work for Disney, it'd be even less of a problem.

Hi,
I'm doing a VR not at disney, but all of the extras (meal, cake, bridal portrait, and dessert party) are at disney. I will wear my dress at all except the dessert party in epcot will be a different dress. They are totally fine with you doing dinner at a resort- as long as you don't wear your dress in the park (with the exception of a bridal portrait - you can do that at epcot as a non disney bride!).

I've done a lot of research, and from what I know you could do any of the following in your dress with friends/family

- meal at a resort
- a fireworks cruise (any boat, including the grand one yacht)
- you can also have the GF make you a cake (we are having one from there made)
