I'm curious about what kinds of cereal they have on the ship. My son is a very picky eater and we are planning on stopping at the store before we board to pick a few boxes of dry cereal to keep in the room with us. Does anyone remember what cereals they have so I know what I need to buy? Thanks.

I can't remember them all. My kids ate "Crucheroos" which were a lot like Cheerios. The really liked them. I hope someone cal help out with the rest!

According to the breakfast menu on Barb's site they have: Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran, KOs, Rice Krispies, Frosted Flakes, Low fat Granola and Froot Loops. I'm not sure whether thye have all those at the buffet breakfast but I would imagine it would be similar. Hope that helps.

By the way, what are KOs and what is Granola? Is that whta we brits call muesli?

The great thing about being a "pickey eater" is that there are so many choices available at the breakfast buffett. I'm sure your son will find many things he will like. Have him try "it all" there's no more cost for food than what you have already paid to be on the cruise. He might find more things he likes (and as a parent, I know that he'll like the donuts and as a parent, you'll want to limit him on that somewhat:D )

The cereal at the buffet comes in the ready to eat out of plastic bowls. There are also little cartons of milk. You could take a selection back to your room to have whenever he got the munchies. My kids loved Rice Krispies in the afternoon after getting back from the beach.

they offer a hot cereal every morning too, alternating cream of wheat and oatmeal.:p

Oh!!!! I almost forgot they have Krispy Kremes.

Thanks for the information! I'll have to pick up some other snacks before we get on the ship or he'll be living on fruit loops all week.

Just wanted to mention that when we went to breakfast, we also picked up some extra boxes of cereal for snacks later in the day. This worked out good for our DS6. - Mike

Don't know what KO's are but granola is kinda like Museli- but I think that the difference is that Museli is made up mainly of uncooked oat flakes, right? granola has toasted oat flakes, usually nuts/dried fruit, cinnamon/nutmeg-kind of like eating a oatmeal cookie all broken up and crunchy-

My daughter is also a very picky eater.

She LOVED the Cruncherrios! They are like a crunchier cherrio cereal. We either picked them up from the breakfast buffet or ordered them from room service (two or three at a time) and kept them in the room for snacks. We ordered milk from room service and it came in those little cartons perfect for the cereal. We kept the milk in the cold box, and she would eat them whenever she got hungry.

She also loved the crackers from the room service menu.

I think the only thing she ate the whole cruise was Cruncherrios and peanut butter (no jelly please) sandwiches the whole time! After fighting with her to eat the $10 hot dog that we bought at WDW, we decided, let her eat cereal and sandwiches! Big deal - it was only 4 days and we were on vacation! :D

Good Luck - I know this is a hard battle with kids!

can't think of what in the world KO's are?

Anyone know?
