Ceramic Tile Installation

I'm trying to get an idea of how much ceramic tile costs to install? Anyone have it done recently and doesn't mind sharing the cost. I'm thinking they would charge by the sq foot?

I may hire a friend to do a bathroom and need to have some idea of how much to pay. It's about 40sq ft and I have all the supplies just need someone to do the work.

Just a thought --- sometimes if you look at tiles, flooring, etc. at places like Home Depot or Lowes, they show the price per sq ft (or maybe sq yd) and then also show the installation charge per sq ft (or sq yd?).

Maybe this will help you estimate labor costs on your job?

April has a good idea, because everywhere in the country is different. Rates in VA will be different than rates in TX. You might also ask at the palce you bought your tile, mastic, grout, spacers, etc from.

Also, make them pull the toilet and reseat it, or you may have a problem later if there is a clog in the potty.
