Okay, I thought I was all set. We decided to use central parking at Logan so we didn't have to worry about snow while we are gone. But, as I fell asleep last night, I started thinking. Have any of you flown out of Logan on Thanksgiving morning and used central parking? We plan to be there aroun 6 or so but with it being Thanksgiving Day I just wondered if we would actually be able to find a parking spot!!! Dopey me not to have thought about that earlier. I really don't want to have to use the satellite lots. Been there, done that. Maybe park and fly? Any Loganites have any thoughts?

Logan is doing rehab and expansion on the Central Parking garage that services terminals C, D, and E. This has led to the garage being full most mornings by 7am. This will not change by Thanksgiving as the project is a two year project. You may want to go right to the Terminal B garage and then walk to your terminal if it's not B. I find the terminal B garage to have spaces when flying the early shuttle to NYC, but have had a hard time with Central parking when flying the early flight to Toronto the last few weeks. They have a valet type service on the top floor of the garage to aide in parking at Central, but do you really want to leave your keys for more than a day or two with them?

I'll be picking up family on the Wednesday afternoon before Thanksgiving, but plan to use the short term parking near terminal E to get around the central garage mess.

The good news is that the Mass Pike connector to the Ted Williams tunnel to the airport will cut your travel time by about 15 minutes if you haven't used it in the year or so it's been open.

Good luck!!

Isn't the Ted Williams Tunnel a huge improvement?? It takes me 1 hr. to get to TF Green and it used to be about the same to Logan. But now, it's only about 40 minutes. I'm thinking that the parking at the garage is going to be next to impossible for Thanksgiving Day. I may opt for the Holiday Inn park and fly deal. It would be $159 vs. $155 for just parking.

What about getting a car service to drop you off and pick you up? It is probably cheaper than central parking and they'll drop you right at the terminal. We're still trying to figure out our plan for December but I think that is the way we're going to go. Good luck!

We used Knights Service in August and I wasn't crazy about them. I guess I've been spoiled by the towncar service on the other end!!! It was about $15 less than central parking and we had a shared van!! Had to wait about 25 minutes when we got to Logan until the next van came by. We decided we just liked having our own car there, just in case we got held up or whatever. Man, I wish Andy and FL Tours would open a branch in central mass!!!
