Central Air Conditioning

My husband and his siblings are considering putting central air in their mother's house. She already has the duct work as her heating source is gas forced hot air. Anybody have and idea as to what a central air system costs?

If you just need the condenser unit, plan on $3000-4000. I would first make sure your mom will USE the AC though.
