The electric company we use has a summer program called SmartHours, which helps users save money during peak pricing times, which is 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. During those hours, we keep the AC set at 82. But all other times, it's set for 74.
During the winter, we keep the heat at 68 and just wear socks and use blankets if we get cold.
My wife gets cold super easy. To her, 78 degrees with the ceiling fans on is too cold. So we'll be sitting there watching TV and she's wrapped up like a burrito and I'm thinking, "man, it could be a little cooler in here..."
