Centerpieces! and other reception decor...

So at the moment, we don't really have any decor at our ADH reception. We are trying to come up with some ideas and could use some help!! If anyone has any pics of ones you used, or used for inspiration that would be great!!

We don't really have a theme. The ceremony is on a beach. He is Scottish, I'm Canadian and met while working down there a few years ago. The guys are wearing kilts and the girls are wearing short royal blue chiffon numbers. I had always wanted the traditional "Cinderella" wedding, but now we are thinking something a lot more fun and less traditional. We're all over the map!!

Help please.

For our reception at ADH we are using a big martini glass with burgundy colored gel and white flowers coming out. then 2 little martini glasses with candles floating in the gel. it sounds better when laura describes it lol ill bring back pics as soon as i get back...only 20 days til my wedding!

Love the popcorn centerpieces - they look like so much fun.

We are also having our reception at ADH and are looking for suggestions. A few years ago there was someone that posted here with her reception at ADH and she used balloons. As ADH is really large and very high - she had centerpieces made up with mickey headshapped colored balloons (to match here wedding colors) and I believe there were also mylar star shapped balloons with them. Our wedding is this November and I am going to get prices on these when we do our planning session. I have never seen them since so I am not sure if they still do this or not but I hope so.

I spokie with our flower planner on Friday to set up a floral planning session. I asked about the balloon and she said they can do them. We scheduled a floral phone session for next Thursday so I am going to send them a photo of the balloons I saw at ADH and see what they think. We will be going down in May so I don't know if we talk prices now or then. I can't wait to speak with them.

If anyone is looking for something with candles I just ordered these. They do not come with the beads but if you are doing your wedding at the beach maybe you could add in some shells dangling down from the metal and on the base with a mirror?
