going on family break to Centerparcs at Sherwood Forest in a couple of weeks time 16th Jan.
It's a few years since we've been.

Any tips?

What's the new raft ride like?

Thanks :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yes, we just got back yesterday from Sherwood Forest and all 13 of us loved it so much have booked again next year. The raft ride is really good. I hate swimming and only got my costume on for this ride and was well worth it. The start of the ride goes into an enclosed tunnel. I thought it was excellent.

We have booked Longleat next year just for something a bit different and is a tiny bit closer to us. However Sherwood Forest is apparently the best according to the castmembers (oops sorry staff).

Let us know how you get on when you get back.

We often have a weekend at Longlet Forest and it is a wonderfully relaxing short break. The Aqua Sana is nice and the treatments they offer are particularly good.

We take along our own bicycles, but must people hire. You can request a villa close to the centre for a small additional fee (£15?) - we have always found this worthwhile as we would find it a pain to be miles away.

Thanks Frances

We're planning to get the bikes out of the shed this weekend & check them over.

Not sure what to do about mum yet. She was 75 at the end of 2005, not sure if she'll manage a bike this year.

It's years since we've been to the Sherwood CP as we've been to Longleat since that one opened, so I can't help with up to date info.

I love CP breaks - I'd go every year if they weren't so (IMHO) expensive. In fact, it's on my "If I win the lottery..." list ;)

I hope you have a great time!

Hi, i live about 20 minutes away from Sherwood Forest CP, we have friends who work there & we sometimes get free days or cheap weekends through them! If you need any info on the local area, feel free to ask :sunny:

Thanks tracey but we don't intend to leave til it's time to come home!

We love visiting Clumber Park
