Perhaps the Wonder still has the old $/MB service? The others all have the new, pay-by-day services. You don’t really need cell service to check in for a flight, right? Just wi-fi.
I believe the cheapest current rate is $12 if you buy by the day. But that is the “Stay Connected” package, and I think that only allows you to use social media and messaging. Not sure if it will accommodate a mobile app. If not, then the next step up is $24/day for “Basic Surf.”
Last I heard, they might still be offering by-the-megabyte access @ $0.25/MB. If you are just getting on to check in, and that’s all, then maybe that’s the way to go (if available).
But…..are you flying with Spirit, Southwest or another budget line? ‘Cause if you are flying a legacy carrier like American or Delta, you don’t have to check in the day before.
But if more than one person is flying, the DCL Basic Surf will be cheaper then, right? If you're flying Southwest, you can splurge for EarlyBird and eliminate the stress of checking in a day early.
Yep .... $25 per person and they automatically check you in at 36 hours ......
they say price starts at $15 but I've always seen the max: $25
does not guarantee group A ..... but .....
Yes, but you have to remember to do it and you have to hope that you've got a good connection at just the right time. I've had Southwest flights where checking in 15 minutes after the window opened was enough to get a late B or early C boarding number. It's not a great system. But if more than one person is flying, the DCL Basic Surf will be cheaper then, right?

We were just on the Wonder, and they had the free 50mb plan for signing up on embarkation day.We used to just get the free on the first day plan, but that isn't an option any more since they rolled out the new plans
I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Pretty sure the new plans are already on the other ships. We were just on the Wonder, and they had the free 50mb plan for signing up on embarkation day.

I think the wonder is the only ship that hasn’t had its Wi-Fi updated yet.I'm sure it's only a matter of time. Pretty sure the new plans are already on the other ships.
We flew home on United, didn't buy internet, went to guest services with my confirmation/locator numberI’ve heard that if you go to guest services they will check you in but I’ve never tried it.
We just sailed on the Wish in November. Guest services did our check-in on the day before our flight. Obviously, if you feel more comfortable doing it yourself, you can, but GS was really helpful with that. What types of plans are available on the Wish? Really just need for 1 day as my flight check in is a sea day. TIA
Using your cell plans cruise roaming is super expensive. My suggestion is to turn on Wifi calling on your device and then pay for the mid tier package once on the ship and keep your phone in airplane mode. If you want to use cell service in the ports then I would turn on ATT's international roaming plan that cost $10 per a 24 hour period and you only get charged if you connect to a roaming network. This roaming plan does not work on the ship when it's moving between ports. How does a wireless carriers wifi and internet service work on The Wish? I have ATT
Could you only text/call while in/near a port? Or did the Verizon Travelwise also work at sea?We were on the Wish in October. We didn't bother with the Wish's wifi/internet plans. We did connect with our provider, Verizon, before we left to let them know we'd be cruising and using the Travelwise $10/24H option. For $20 over 4 days we text and called (tried facetime but it wouldn't connect) our son in PA from the Wish (there was a dog issue) a couple times a day.
