cell service in bahamas

Has anyone tried using a cell phone on the 3 or 4 day cruises? If so, how much it relative to calling from continental US?

don't know how much it cost - but we used our cell phone in nassau from the ship's deck - i think that it'll depend on how your minutes are arranged - our first time trying to call cost extra because i didn't have east coast roaming - but the second time we had over 400 minutes so only a small amount of roaming charges were on the bill

I have service with Sprint and could not get a signal in the Bahamas. Now in the US Virgin Islands...yes, however that will obviously not help you. I would check with your service provider.

I have cingular and it works in the bahamas. I have free long distance so no charge for roaming
