Cell Phone??

We are going on the AUg 17th 4 day. We are going for our Annv. and leaving the kids with Grandma. Will my cell phone work on ship or in any ports? Do the prots have pay phones(castaway cay & Nassau) Will a pre-paid phone card work from port. I know it is expensive to call from the ship. Thanks

we did the 7 day Western and lost service Saturday night (once heading around the tip of Florida), had it during our Key West day and not again until we got back.

You can do phone cards and leave her with an emergency number for the ship in case she needs you.

You can also set up an e-mail account online (yahoo is who we used) and check in every day or so. We were moving the week we returned from the trip and my dh had an invalid mother so my parents had the e-mail address to get in touch with us if anything went crazy. I think my internet bill for the week was about $12 just from checking in a few times.

did the 4-day in June and have Verizon. I had service in Freeport, Nassau and CC. Sometimes, inside my cabin during sailing, I lost service. But I could get it back once I got up on a high, outside deck.
