It is often said that freedom and liberty are always at stake when the Congress is in session. The same can be said of the Ct. State legislature. A Dem. legislature is introducing a bill to make cell phone use at a gas station illegal and subject to a $250 fine in Ct. This, dispite the fact that all reports of explosions at gas stations due to cell phone use have turned out to be urban legions. Even the suspicious explosion that was originally attributed to cell phones in New Paltz, NY was a "premature decision", according to authorities. Check out www.snopes.com. Is this more of the state over reaching "just in case"? Massachusetts has already outlawed the little gadgets that hold the gas pump on when you are filling up. I can keep it open with my gas cap. Ct. has no such law and there haven't been that many exploding cars lately. Any opinions?
