Thinking out loud, because the mother-hen in me is active...

Lots of us are traveling solo. Even if you don't trade #'s with me...it would be a good idea to trade #'s with somebody, also your travel/arrival itinerary. Whether you're officially registered for DIS CON or not, everyone should have at least one contact buddy who know's when you're supposed to arrive.

Unfortunately things do sometimes happen, cars break down, flights can be late, itinerary's can be lost, written down incorrectly or perhaps changed....what have-you.

I always get a nasty sinking feeling when I'm in a group and somebody says "Hey, has anyone heard from so-and-so..?" and then we all start worrying, or at least I do

I'd hate to see anyone with an emergency, lost, confused, lonely, or left out of a last minute get-together without having a way to contact someone in the group in a blink.

So please...find a buddy..or buddies and share your info

As you know I do travel solo. I always carry a little 'emergency' card in my purse with the phone number of my parents (home and work). So, in case something terrible happens to me, somebody can call them.
I hope I'll never need it - but just in case.......

I too carry emergency contact info with me. I will have both my parents' work and home numbers in my purse in case anyone needs to contact them for me.

I think this is a wonderful thread Donna. I also think the emergency contacts for back home is a great idea. Chris & I have discussed giving our cell numbers, hotel numbers etc. to our families but, we never discussed the reverse!
