In October my wife and I will be at the Beach Club Villas and my Daughter will be at Old Key West. Is there any problem with cell phone reception at the resorts. We both have T-Mobile service. Thanks in advance.

DH and I have T-mobile phones. Our experience is that coverage and reception are spotty in the resorts. The coverage in the parks is much better. We have had issues at BWV and at OKW, I don't remember what our coverage was like at YC when we stayed there (and that was awhile ago anyway).

I have Cingular but I had the same experiences you had, spotty in the resorts but much better coverage in the parks.

We have T Mobile. We had no problem last October. We would use the phones to contact DD (age 16) when she wanted to stay and the parks a little longer and we went back to the resort (POR).

Agree with others posting here...when we were at the resort we occasionally had to go outside the room to make a call, but besides that it was fine.

I have cingular usually have no problems. :Pinkbounc

We have verizon. No problem in the parks. Typically have to go outside to get clear reception when at the resorts.

Everyone at WDW is Sprint/Nextel so the reception is best for that carrier.
I realize that's the name of the new merged company, but to be more specific WDW employees use Nextel. It's my understanding that the Sprint and Nextel phone systems won't be merged until around 2009. I can't speak to Sprint coverage, but Nextel rocks at WDW.

I have Verizon and the only problems I had which I think is typical for everyone is when your inside of a ride.
