cell phone provider????

I've been with T-Mobile for years -- LOVE them and their seriously happy people in customer service. I've never had a problem with them or the cell signal.

My DS's service has been with Virgin Mobile for several years also, and they have been just awesome as well. His signal has always been great, and their customer service is terrific. He has lost his phone twice, and both times they made it painless and easy (and inexpensive!) to replace.

Couldn't be happier with either company!! :goodvibes

I've had T-Mobile for 7-8 years and am very happy with them. I don't use that many minutes and recently converted my phone and telephone number to pay as you go/prepaid. The reception at my home has improved the last few years.

I was looking at both options....
I cannot believe Virgin has a plan that is only $25 per month with unlimited text and internet??? Is it too good to be true???

Nope it is true! My DD has this plan and loves it! Has had no problems with and has had great reception in multiple states.

So how do you pay??? Do they automatically charge your account or do you have to go get a new card with credits at the store monthly??

I think it's important to know where you'll use the phone most- here in CT- T-mobile service is pretty lame, and spotty. At&T is better,Verizon ROCKS. Tracfone is ok,net10 ROCKS- (I know the last are the same company, but one is def. better coverage. I think at&t is better down south...

No, I know you don't have to go get a card. I believe you just go on line or do it over the phone and I think you can store a credit card number so it is quick and easy. And possibly set it up to be automatic. I do know there is no contract so you can stop anytime you want.

I will ask her when I talk to her next BUT seeing that it is Saturday night I doubt talking to Mom will be high on her priority list tonight!:lmao:

Sunday afternoon will probably be a more realistic time to ask her. So if you haven't found out by then I'll ask her and report back.

I've been with Virgin Mobile for 6 years and am very happy with them. Had the unlimited text, data, 300 minute plan for $25 for a while, then upgraded to a blackberry, so now it's $35. It's billed monthly to a credit card. I've used them all over the country and never had real problems. I admit there are some dead zones, but never that have really impacted me. T-mobile has a deadzone in my nieghborhood, so that one was out for me.

NY ---- t mobile and also spotty/ to put it politely, lame reception.

And not impressed with customer service at all. You can do a No commitment prepaid plan with Tmobile though.

Virgin Mobile here. Very happy with the $25 plan. I buy top ups online evey month.

It is true and it is great!!! Android phones with all the apps, runs on Sprint's network so if you have sprint coverage in your area there won't be issues. Just look at past total minute usage. With Verizon, calls between Verizon phones are not using the minute package. You don't get that 'freebie' so get the package upfront for minutes needed. If you need more than 300 consistently, 1200 minutes, unlimited data and text is $40. Still a steal, comparated to contracts

Yes, you can set it up to automatically bill a credit card on file each month. No need to get their cards from the store; I don't even really understand the top up term. It just auto bills to my cc on the same day of the month.

I'm pretty excited about it. I ordered the LG Rumor 2 phone and it was on sale only $49.99. Hope its a good one. I hope the reception is good around my area too. If these companies are offering such a deal why is everyone falling into the Verizon contract trap????

I've used T-Mobile prepaid for a few years. When my minutes get low I can add minutes with a credit card online.

One feature I really like is I can keep and update my Phone Directory online in my account and can synchronize between what is online and what is on the phone. If I buy a new phone, or, more important, if I have to get a replacement for a lost or damaged phone it is a matter of about a minute to load the directory into the new phone.

DS has the $25 Virgin Mobile plan and it works great for him. I tried to get it but after several weeks they still had not successfully ported my number from Tracfone. Every time I talked to their customer service department, they would tell me it would be 24-48 hours. This went on for over three weeks. I even emailed thier executives begging them to let me be a customer but they couldn't get it working. So I went to AT&T and got an iPhone.

The bill for DS's phone is charged to my credit card every month.

I am wondering the same thing!!! i'd never heard of VM until I read the recommendation here. With a little research I thought it was worth trying since I would have 30 days to decided. It is great. See ya, Verizon!

that's great. Was thinking to try. How much was the price of the

VM phone though?

My kids and I all have Virgin Mobile phones. I've been using a VM prepaid phone for about five years and bought a new phone to use at Christmas. My kids were with Kajeet, but both wanted Smart Phones, so we switched them over at Christmas.
