Cell phone freaks me out!

So im home from school for the summer, where I have an alarm clock I was given for Christmas back probably at least 10 years ago. With my cell phone anywhere near it ( within 6 feet ) it tends to buzz static noise about a second before it rings.

It also does the same static noise about once an hour ( usually at xx:02 ) i assume to sync the time. So every hour or so I freak out and start reaching for it thinking it's a phone call.....

rant over. Feel free to laugh.

Does anyone else's alarm clock do this?

Yes, but mine 'contacts the mothership' more than once an hour.

I usually put it in the cupholder under the stereo in my car and think I'm getting a call!

My cell does that with just about anything electronic within about a 3 foot radius, mainly the computer--I'll get a rythmic almost tapping sorta noise (sounds like Morse code) for a few seconds, and then the ringing starts. Heard it on the TV tonight for the first time, too.

mine only does it to the alarm clock am/fm combo, and only this specific alarm clock.

It does the morse code for about a second, then it rings. I love it when it actually rings, but when it's just contacting the mother ship - i flip and start reaching....only to have it not ring.
