Cell Phone at the water parks

Our next trip will be the first time we're going to Typhoon Lagoon.
Does anyone know what you can do with your cell phone at the park?
My husband's parents are older, so leaving the phone at the resort is not an option.
Do they sell some kind of container to keep a phone dry? I really don't want to have to worry about it when all 3 of us are in the water. (We won't be doing any of the big slides--just the lazy river and wave pool.)

I would rent a locker and maybe check it a few times that day for messages. I had money in one of those container, just in the lazy river and the thing leaked. I was glad I left my cellphone in the car.

we just left ours in our bags under our chairs.

I usually leave mine in my bag, shoved under everything else. And make sure you leave it on silent.
I have an annual pass to sea world/aquatica and during the summer months, I'm at aquatica at least once a week if not more. And I've never had an issue with my bag (I leave the cell phone, annual pass, ID, and one CC). And if you're going to spend a lot of time in the lazy river, just nab a chair near one of the entrances, and every couple times around just get up and check on your bag. I always fill my big cup with soda so every few times around, I nab a sip of my soda and go back in the water.

We did the same. We would do all the slides in one area, then grab our towels and bag and move on to the next area and find a new chair. Worked really well. (We went in June, and had no trouble finding empty chairs!)

I'd be careful about leaving it under the chairs, unless you're using a beach tote. With all the sprayers for keeping the ground cool, and water dripping off every one, I'd be afraid of coming back to a soaked bag.

And if it turns up missing, check with Guest Services. Especially during the summer we tend to get one or two cell phones per day turned in to Lost and Found.

I just realized you said that you were only doing the lazy river and wave pool. Have you ever been in the wave pool here? It is quite the ride, ripped anythng not tired down off our bodies. Glasses, handbands and braclet. Be careful. LOL

If you have to have it on you then you can put the phone into a ziplock bag & then put it into one of those watertite necklaces that they sell.

Thanks so much for the info! I figure we'll be there for about 4 or 5 hours--
all the suggestions helped.
Is the lazy river really not so tame? My DS is not a good swimmer--can he be in the same raft as me or my DH?

We will be renting a locker when we go to Typhoon Lagoon. It's just so much easier to not have to worry about your stuff or to have to move it around as you go to different parts of the park. If you do opt to leave your stuff under a chair inside of a bag, I would suggest packing the cell and anything else that could be damaged inside a quart sized ziplock bag.

The lazy river is exactly what it says it is lazy! It is very tame. you aren't in rafts you are in tubes and the depth is 3 foot at the most. I took my 2 yr old in when we were there and you will see babies in with their folks. Every once in a while there will be "fountains" shooting water or a waterfall you go under but if you really want to avoid them you pretty much can.

And bathing suit tops.....:headache::scared::magnify:
I had issues at the wave pool in Dorney Park, Allentown Pa some years ago. I had to clutch the float board to my chest, washed up flat on my back with some man asking if I needed help! :sad2:

SealLine pouches. Best thing ever.

There is no way I'd ever leave valuables at my chair in a water park. I've come back several times to find my sunscreen missing, so I know people rifle through others' bags.

Thanks again! More great ideas. Love the water proof pouch!
A locker might be the way to go. Sometimes I overthink so much it's just not healthy! :lmao:

eh - I would leave it in my bag. However, I own an aquapac for other activities and love it. It would be good in this situation. It looks identical to the pouch posted above.
