Does Disney have a Disney Related celeb on every cruise to do talks like Paige Davis did not too long ago? We had the guy who was touring as Beast on ours back in MArch 2001. Do they have someone every cruise or is like once a month? Sporadic?

This is part of the Eastern cruise adult programmimg. Sometimes it is a "celebrity," sometimes a Disney exec, whatever. We've been on with the gentleman who played Gaston in the original Broadway cast and a vice president of Imagineering. Another time, it was a gal in charge of the floral stuff at EPCOT. Each person did a series of 3 talks (on sea days) in exchange for which their families sailed at no charge.

Of course, the talks were very different from each other, but equally fascinating. I was told that this isn't part of the Western because that has one less sea day.

Raven was on our 11/30 cruise! She was adorable.

Is there any way to find out who is going on the cruise ahead of time? My daughters would absolutely love to meet/see Raven or one of the other teens from Disney Channel!!!!!!!

When I checked KT into the kids club, the counsellor said, excitedly "GUESS WHO'S SAILING WITH US THIS TIME???" We said "WHO?" and he said, "RAVEN!!" We must have had blank looks on our faces so he added "From 'Thats so Raven." (continue blank faces) He adds, "on the Disney Channel."

Had he said "Olivia from 'The Cosby Show'" I'd have gotten it immediately--although I'd have been looking around for dear, sweet little Olivia! :)

We did see Mickey Mouse on our last cruise....I was starstruck! :)

In 2001, former President Carter and his family sailed on the three day Wonder the day after Xmas. In 2002, former President Bush and Florida Govenor Jeb Bush sailed the three day Wonder the day after Christmas!

We had Ernie Sabella (the voice of Pumbaa) on our May 2001 Eastern Carribean cruise. He was on his honeymoon, and was in our dinner rotation. I took my girls up to meet him after one of the shows and he was very nice. He said hello to them in Pumbaa's voice. I also had him sign the cruise map I won in the silent auction. He was nothing but nice each time I had contact with him, which I think must be very difficult. Can you imagine being on a cruise and being constantly diverted or stared at. That's the main reason I choose to remain unfamous :teeth:

That's the funniest thing I've read in a long time. Thanks for making me smile!

Whitney Housten and hubby were seen by pal on board the Magic a couple of years ago. Nat:Pinkbounc

Aaron and Nick Carter were aboard the Wonder last year with their whole family. They had a concert onboard up on deck on night (from what I read here....I was not on the cruise).

And in a post a few weeks ago someone said that the Cast from one of the Friday night ABC lineup would be filming onboard. Not sure if it is on the Wonder or Magic.

I saw on Ebay the other day where someone is selling a videotape of the Carter boys on the ship... the description made it sound like it was them playing around in the pool and having fun. Certainly not my idea of DCL memorabilia, but I'm sure it must appeal to someone out there! :teeth:

When we were on the Eastern in Nov. '01, Joe Rodi and family were on the cruise. He gave a number of talks on the development of Animal Kingdom.

I didn't think I famous or anything, but every time I ordered a drink by the pool, they kept asking for my autograph.

The first time we sailed on the Wonder (it was something like the 10th sailing of the ship) one of our table mates was the Project Manager for Animal Kingdom and his wife. Another table mate was a CM at Animal Kingdom, and we found dinner conversations to be quite interesting. Best table mates we've ever had.

We just got off the Magic on Saturday (the New Year's Eve cruise) and Andie McDowell was on with her daughters.

She really kept to herself, but spent a great deal of time in the spa and with her daughters in their activities.

Our servers, Jean and Maria (awesome) told us that the Jim Belushi show is taping on the ship this upcoming week, and that most of the ship was to be occupied by cast and crew. In fact, Jean said that he was scheduled to be there server and would appear on the show!!

Can't wait to watch that one when it comes out!

We were on a cruise with Them and Cicely Houston in August of 2000. They were very tolerant when they were in public areas but kept to themselves quite a bit. The children with them didi go to the kids club though.
I spoke with Whitney for a bit about doing "public vacations"and she said she was doing what her children wanted. They did perform at Famnily kareoke although I was not there to see it.

there was a huge basketball star on our mid june eastern cruise. i must be in left field because i didn't recognize him, but my uncle who's a big b-ball fan spotted him immediately, knew all his stats and everything. he didn't even need to be famous because everyone stared at him anyway - he was an absolute giant. his family (mini-giants) was right behind ours on the bike path at CC. we even stopped at the same water cooler and then we tendered on the same boat. i felt a little awkward around him, but i'm sure they must find it hard to keep a low profile, so i didn't say anything. now if it were john travolta things might have been different....;)
