Annam26, I agree. I really enjoyed the TV special. And I was able to rope my son into sitting through it with me (he came home from his friends house just long enough to watch the show and as soon as it ended, he was out the door again).
My son tried to translate as much of the show as he could for me, but sometimes the folks on camera were talking so fast that he had a hard time keeping up (as did the Closed Captioning). But it was fun for me to at least hear a little bit about what was going on. And from what I saw, Disney did a wonderful job with everything. Charytín & Elin and their guests all appeared to be having a marvelous time.
They showed a lot from the wedding, plus Chary meeting her fans at the MK...
Yes, I saw the video footage of the wedding party inside the Magic Kingdom. I saw them pose for photos with Cinderella and Prince Charming (with the castle in the background). I also saw Charytín meeting her fans. She seemed very pleased that they had turned out for her.
I wonder if the Mariachis at the wedding were the ones from the Mexican Pavillion at Epcot?
The vow renewal ceremony was held at 12:30 PM (
click here) and the dinner reception was held at 6 PM (
click here). Like you, I am wondering if the mariachi band was the one from Epcot. It seems almost unlikely since those musicians would be busy entertaining at the Mexico Pavilion, and I dont know if Disney has enough mariachi musicians on the payroll to populate two complete bands. Hopefully, they do. Otherwise, that might have been an outside band perhaps one of Charytín & Elins favorite bands from home??
They had two parties, one indoors at The Rotunda in The American Adventure building. I've never been inside that building.
Please stop by and visit the building during your next vacation. It is lovely and has wonderful artwork on display. Also, various groups perform there throughout the day. Below are links to photos of the
Voices of Liberty vocal group -- theyre wonderful performers:

If you look at those photos, you should get a feel for what the American Adventure Rotunda looks like. It is a large space where park goers wait for
The American Adventure show to begin inside the theater (please try to catch that show -- it's quite moving).
Can regular couples have their reception there, or was this just for the special?
Regular folks like you and I can host events there. Quite a few of the FTW brides on this website have hosted their dinner receptions there. From everything that Ive read, the events have all turned out beautifully.
Here is a link to Disneys official photos of the American Adventure venue:

The second party was outside, in Italy. They keep talking about an "Island" but I've never seen one in Epcot.
The dessert party was held on the Italy Isola (isola means island in Italian). Its an area that sits in front of the Italy Pavilion. Here is a link to Disneys official photos of this venue:
click here. The larger dessert parties are held there since the location is nicely-sized.
If Charytín & Elins dinner reception was held at 6 PM, then their dessert party immediately followed it. Normally, the dessert party is held prior to the dinner reception due to Disney not wanting to shut down a pavilion during theme park hours (the theme park guests bring in far more money than a private event does). However, for Charytín and Elins event, Disney obviously waived their rules due to the marketing & publicity nature of the event (it was being televised on Univisions TeleFutura network). Its well within Disneys right to dang well do whatever they want to with any of their venues.
Since Illuminations normally begins at 9 PM, my guess is that the dessert party started at least 30 minutes prior (around 8:30 PM). What I cant figure out is when everyone danced. Did they dance during dinner? Did they dance after the dessert party? It wasnt apparent to me since the television show seemed to jump back and forth between the events and I was having a hard time following things due to the language barrier. I wish I had an official timeline for the event. My engineering mind craves order (its a flaw of most engineers).
