Celebrity sightings?

We've seen quite a few but the most memorable was Roy Disney and his wife. We had a nice conversation and a few laughs with both of them.

Oh, I forgot about him -- he was in the buffet line (yes, the buffet line) behind us and we started a conversation and he was so nice and had a beautiful smile.

We sat at the table right next to Robert Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and their two beautiful daughters on our 12 night Iceland cruise last June. :) They were excited to be on their first Disney cruise and to finally go to NORWAY! (let it go!) They were very kind and put together a special presentation on our last sea day about behind the scenes of Frozen. I thanked them for taking time out of their family cruise to share something so special with all us cruisers.

Honestly the most down to earth "celebrity" that I have ever encountered. It was such a pleasure.

Karl Holz was eating at the table next to ours in Palo on one of the Fantasy preview cruises. I knew service was going to be extra good that night!!

We were once sailing Haven class on NCL and Donny Osmond and his entire family (wife, children, grandchildren) were sailing in the Haven as well. We saw them every day by the little pool in the Haven area. Everyone simply left them alone so they could enjoy their cruise together.

Mario Lopez was filming a promotional video with his family on the Dream in July. I only saw them while they were filming by the pools and in Cove Cafe between locations.

The guy who voices the monorail is a DVC guy and was on board the Dream in February.
Current or the original spiel? We met a guy who did the original mark V and the gen 1 mark 7s spiel. The way we met was kind of funny. We were wearing the exact same DCL polo shirt that is no longer available. Saw him a few times on that cruise.

I guess in a way you could count him as a "celebrity". On our last Fantasy cruise, Arnaud Lallement was on board. He is the French chef who is responsible for half of the Remy menu. He is a Michelin 3-star chef with his own restaurant: l'Assiette Champenoise. He was actually overseeing the kitchen at Remy when we ate there. He also did a presentation during the cruise. I do hope that even without him being in the kitchen, Remy will be equally good on our next cruise!

On our Nov 3, 2014 cruise on the Dream, Vanna White and Pat Sajak were onboard filming footage for the Wheel of Fortune Disney Week. They did most of the filming in the main lobby on Deck 3 and we were allowed to watch. They were very nice and talked with guests between takes.

There was a girl who had been on a couple of the Disney channel shows on our last cruise. I did not recognize her. But her mom made sure everyone knew she was a "celebrity." LOL

We had some Disney Channel star on one of our cruises too. I have no idea who she was.

i wonder if DCL will have Robert Lopez on the wonder since the wonder has frozen now.

Current spiel.

While we were out on Castaway at In Da Shade Games, we saw 1995 Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George.

Ricki Lake and family were on one of the first pin trading cruises. It was before Disney gave them a room to trade, the pin traders were all over the floor with their suitcases
spread out. It was a mess. I had to tell her about Disney pin trading. Most of the out of control pin traders did not even acknowledge Ricki at all. She was
very nice.

I have seen quite a few people I consider celebrities. Members of the military who have put their lives on the line for us, one emergency room doctor who had saved many lives, a well known name in the electronics industry who has helped invent things that improve my life. I've probably seen a number of people who have helped humanity and I didn't even know who they were.

As for movie/TV stars/singers, meh.

TBH most celebrities (at least those without the fragile egos and aren't media hungry)would rather NOT be acknowledged as such when they are on vacation with their families.
