Celebrity sightings?

TBH most celebrities (at least those without the fragile egos and aren't media hungry)would rather NOT be acknowledged as such when they are on vacation with their families.

The only 1 that I know of for sure is Gabrielle Igleasias. Hes said it multiple times during his shows, that if you see him out and about, feel free to stop and talk to him.

Even Larry the Cable Guy, (who from that cruises group, cruisers mentioned meeting him and talking to him in different places, didn't seem to have a problem talking to guests onboard) when I saw him on the Fantasy, I was standing not more then a foot from him, leaning on the door frame, as the ship rolled from the storm we were in, and just nodded at him as he walked by. He nodded back and smiled on his way to the counter in one of the gift shops. Now the woman that he accidentally bumped into as the ship rolled had a whole bunch of verses of the 4 lettered serenade. I'm guessing she didn't see who bumped into her as the ship took an unusually hard roll.

Actually Riki Lake approached me to ask me about the suitcases on the floor. I wouldn't approach a celebrity while on vacation with their families unless there was a specific meet & greet
set up by DCL.

I did not mean they want to be totally left alone - obviously if they need assistance and you can help, do so. And I don't think any would be outright rude to anyone who said anything - especially not in this day and age when everything is immediately all over the web, especially some kind of scandal involving someone who happens to be famous. But most do not want to be mobbed when they are on vacation with their families. If you're going to say anything, keep it low-key and realize that they are on vacation as well. Say hi. Ask for a pic and autograph if you must, but remember they are on vacation too. (Even if they're doing something official on the ship like performing, when they are not "on company time" they are on vacation - part of the draw of doing the cruises.)

I understand that. On the trip out of CC, Larry got on the ships PA and made jokes about the cruisers that trip. I have the video somewhere. He thanked everyone onboard, even though there was a few he wanted to throw overboard. My wife and I were talking about that very subject when we figured out who was on the ship with us for that cruise. We came to the same conclusion, and basically kept in mind they were on vacation also. Didn't make a big deal about it, and my daughter got John Lasseters autograph, and my son met Joe Lanziscero who basically designed the Dream class from the keel up. There are some celebrities, that have no problem with guests at all. Others, dont even look at them. you literally have to take it on a case by case business. Matter of fact, I just thought of a second. My dad and my sister and her friend were at the Boardwalk visiting here in Fl. My dad went downstairs and ended up talking to what turned out to be the GM of the BW. She said, I cant tell you why, but its worth your time, to hang out in the lobby for a little while. My sister and her friend come down and they stood in the lobby talking to the GM about the resort etc. 10 minutes later, the elevator comes down, and whos in it, Drew Carey. He stopped hung out with people, took pictures, signed autographs, and made everyone standing there feel really special. 5 minutes later, who comes down, but Kathy Kinney. Who does the exact same things. What made it even better, was that both Kathy and Drew were going back and forth, like they would in their show. All while signing autographs and taking pictures. A minute later, the elevator doors open again, and this time its Michael Bolton, with a baseball hat pulled low over his face, jacket with collar turned up, hands in his pocket and he became pretty much a missile heading for the doors. He couldn't get out of the bldg. fast enough. Didn't stop, say hi excuse me, get out of my way nothing. Just bulldozed a path to the exit.

Slash from Guns N Roses in 2006 on Magic, I almost ran into him on that same cruise Jeremy Palko was cruise staff.
. In 2009 on Wonder I cruised with Jordan Hill NBA player and in 2013 on Fantasy cruised with another nab player

We were on the Neil Patrick Harris cruise. He was great with great with everyone in the pool and very nice to my son when the rode an elevator together.

From friends of mine who have dealt with him, Larry is an all around good guy.

From what Ive seen of him, Id agree. On the Fantasy Maiden, he did a show GC night. At the end of the show, he walked the stage and shook hands or hi 5ved members of the audience. Someone held something out to be signed, after he went behind the curtain. I guess it was his body guard came out took the item back stage, Larry signed it, and the body guard or asst or what ever he was ( every where Larry was, this guy was) brought it back out to the owner. I know of very few performers, that would do what he did at the end of the show, let alone sign something he missed the first time around.

Met Jim Harbaugh onboard the February 2014 cruise. I was walking through the pool deck - he was having lunch with his family. I stopped and then asked if it was Jim or John... then i turned slightly and he was standing right there in front of me. All i could must was, "holy crap, man, you got f'ed on your last game"... he replied, "thanks" and a grin. I saw him all over the ship, have a photo of him - will try to find on pirate night (dressed up). But, one night he and his family went to the nightly show "Buckets and Boards" and his daughter was randomly selected out of the audience. The 'Boards' guys asked, "tell us something we don't know about you..." his daughter replied, "my dad USED to be the head coach of the 49'ers..." (One year before he wasn't the coach of the 49'ers (was interesting statement)). Then he took photos with people afterwards - I didn't bother - but he was kind of MIA from the ship. Saw him on Castaway Cay being taken via golf cart with his family - and that was it.
