Totally not famous but on our engagement cruise a couple we loved from Amazing Race was on the same cruise and 2 doors down from us so we kept running into them.
This topic comes up every so often and is always fun to read what celebs have sailed. I have seen Joey Fatone on the 2005 Panama Canal cruise. I know Whitney Houston and her family sailed once. We sailed with some Disney Channel stars but I didn't even know them. Someone pointed them out to me.
We've seen John Lasseter, Bob Iger, Larry the Cable Guy, Karl Holz, Leia Solonga who is the singing voice of Mulan. John and Larry nicest people in the world. very prrsonable. Leia, kind of standoffish. we shared and eldvator with her and didn't know who she was until the show that night.
I had a conversation about Into the Woods with the Broadway star Chuck Wagner in the elevator on one of the Panama cruises, he was the Disney performer. He was so nice and gave the best show I have ever seen on any of the cruises. I hear he is stage manager these days for one of the ships.
Disney Channel stars on our 1st cruise in 2010. My daughter asked Tiffany Thornton to join us for dinner. Instead she had dessert with us. Really awesome cruise. How we got hooked.
In case you're not familiar with them:
Jason Earles, Tiffany Thornton and Roshon Fegan
Terri Hatcher sailed with us on the Dream. My daughter was dressed in a gorgeous Cinderells dress when boarding. As Terri was being rushed onto the boat she glanced at my daughter and said "that is a beautiful little girl." We ran into her a couple of times on the ship and just said hi as you would to anyother passenger. She smiled and said hello back. Didn't notice others bothering her and her entourage too much. Hope she had as much fun as we did!
We met Dr. Bailey from Grey's Anatomy on our Alaska cruise this summer, she was as nice as she oould be. We didn't see her at all the beginning of the week but she was out and about the last sea day all over the ship and we stood in line after disembarking for the bus to the airport.
My husband and son recognized an NFL coach on one of our cruises, I had no idea who is was but he was close to us on CC, I felt better that I couldn't snag a cabana and neither could he on that very full Fantasy cruise. LOL
I've seen John Lasseter, Bob Iger, Larry the Cable Guy, Karl Holz, Leia Solonga and Jodi Benson. I ran into Karl Holz in one of the bars alone and he was very nice to chat with. Larry was just a down to earth kinda guy who just was out to make everyone laugh. I was lucky enough to be on the same scuba diving boat with John Lasseter and his son. John and I talked about diving and he was just the nice guy as well. He invited me to a special presentation that only certain people where able to attend on the cruise. I ran into him a second time on the Pixar cruise and he remembered me. We ended catching-up like old friends for 10 or 15 minutes before other people interrupted us to get his autograph and picture. A few years later I ran into him at WDW a bunch of other people and again he remembered me and said "hi" but he was obviously play/working so unable to really talk to me.
I forgot to mention but in March 2016 I sailed on my first RCL cruise from NY and Alexa Vega (Spy Kids Movies) and her husband Carlos Pena where on the ship. They had just completed Dancing with the Stars and I although I noticed them around the ship it wasn't until my friends pointed them out when we had a private cabana in Haiti (they obviously paid extra to be in the private area but didn't have a cabana). They kept to themselves and where enjoying the nice long beach day (like everyone else) until someone from outside the private area flew a drone into the area to capture them. The drone crashed nearby and Carlos was a little upset and he and Alexa just grabbed their stuff and headed back to the ship.
Susan Egan, who was performing on our sailing -- we bumped into her and her husband and their baby getting off in Castaway Cay and had a brief conversation. She is such a nice lady. Joey Fatone was performing on one of our sailings and I bumped into him in one of the hallways and he was so friendly and genuine. Of course, I didn't have my camera at the time!
Bruce Hall (bass player for REO Speedwagon) was on our last cruise. His wife had actually joined our FB Group and FE lists before the sailing. Super down to earth family! Talked with them many times over the 7 day cruise.
There was a girl who had been on a couple of the Disney channel shows on our last cruise. I did not recognize her. But her mom made sure everyone knew she was a "celebrity." LOL
In March, Sophia Grace was on our cruise filming a promotional video for Disney. After running into the film crew on deck shortly after we left Port Canaveral, my daughter was invited to film a segment with her in the Oceaneer Club. So on our Nassau day we were up early for a 6:00 am call time. It was a really fun experience for my daughter.
My sister is a flight attendant for United and had them on her flight on their way to that cruise. She has a photo of herself with NPH. She said he was very nice.
