Celebrity Sightings At WDW Resorts?

During our November 2007 trip we were standing in line for EE when a castmember stepped in front of us and asked us to hold for a moment. He then let two men in the line in front of us. I kinda stood there thinking :confused3 what the heck is this. They then let us move forward. I kept looking at the back of one of the guys heads thinking he looks sorta familiar. One of the guys then turned around and started talking to us about the ride and how it was their favorite and asked us if we had been on it before. I told him it was our first time, so he proceeded to tell us about it, and told me not to be scared that it was fun. Then the guy he was with turned around and started to talk to us when I realized, Hey this is Ace Young from American Idol. I kinda pointed my finger at him with that "Hey I know you look" and he just nodded his head letting me know yep I was right. They were both so friendly and we had fun standing in line with them chatting away. When we reach que to get on the ride a bunch of young girls had figured out who it was and it then the cameras started coming out.

We were seated right behind them during the ride, it didn't occur to me until after we got off the ride and jumped back in line to ride it again that we my have been in the same picture together on the ride. No luck though, he was in the pic before us. :sad2:

ETA: Oops sorry, I realized this was for sightings at a resort. Oh well, it was pretty cool anyway.

Last spring break we saw Marie Osmond at CSR. She was signing autographs in the lobby. She was just as nice in person as she seems on TV.

Also, and this might be a minor celeb to most, but I saw Ronnie "the Limo Driver" Mund from the Howard Stern show the same week. How could I tell? That voice! YIKES:eek:

I saw the guy who plays Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) outside of Jiko in AKL once. My brother and I really thought it was Howard Stern for a while until we figured out later that, since it was Star Wars weekends at the time, it was more likely Chewie than Howie.

If you've seen them both, they really are quite similar!

I saw Tom Hanks leaving the pool area of OKW in 1997 and OJ Simpson w/ his kids were seated at the booth behind us at Concourse Steakhouse in July 1998. I saw Nicole Kidman and Lenny Kravitz being seated for the Candlelight Processional Dec. 30 2003 I believe

We were in the elevator at AKL with David and Shawn Cassidy. David was really nice and played "pirates" with my DS.

Same trip DH had coffee with David Ogden Stiers at the conceirge lounge at AKL. He was there for the opening of Lilo and Stitch.

Back about 20 years ago we saw Buddy Ebsen aka Jed Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies. He was coming out of a store in the Contemporary Hotel with a newspaper tucked under his arm.

We saw Celine Dion and Melissa Joan Hart during the same trip ( they weren't together! ) at the GF last June!:)

During our stay at AKL in May 2004 DH came out of the arcade looking like an excited little kid - he had run into Steven Tyler from Arrowsmith. My DH is into harmonicas, so he asked Steven a question about a harmonica in one of their songs and Steven answered him. DH was thrilled.

WeeEEEEe Doggies!

My favorite show- Hands down. The only way this could have been any cooler is if Jethro, Ellie may, Mr. Drysdale, Ms. Jane and of course, the funniest woman to ever grace a TV screen, Granny, were with him.

I trust you got a picture or an autograph?

I usually don't get to excited whenever I see celeb's in DW. My wife was freaked out when we saw Antonio Bandaras (sp?) at EPCOT several years ago. He seemed to be a very cordial and nice family man, which of course, is a great thing:banana:

No, I was chicken to go up to him.

That's so cool. My dad's favorite show - he would have loved to have seen Jed.:thumbsup2

Guess I must always be in the wrong place at the wrong time....LOL!! Never have seen anyone in one of the hotels. Saw Fess Parker at DHS one year before they closed Millionaire. Now this week around town here if you want to see celebrities all you have to do is go try to eat somewhere in Daytona. You'll fall all over the race car drivers ..............LOL!! Luckily for me my Dad worked for NASCAR for years before he died, so I have tons of pics of him with drivers and autographed too. Just wish I'd gotten one of Mark Martin!! :goodvibes Great week-end for a race or a quick trip to the Mouse House !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buddy Ebsen must have really liked the Contemporary. We saw him there almost thirty years ago. He was nice enough to talk to us and let us take his picture.

Of course, I remember him when he was on the Davey Crockett show.

A few...

Professional wrestler and Disney fanatic Mick Foley walking the Poly grounds in Dec '99 (didn't talk to him - he was on the phone).

DW saw Regis walking into GF while we were waiting for our car one Dec (just nodded hello).

After watching her narrate the Candlelight Processional Dec07, ran into Monique Coleman (Taylor from HSM) in the hall at BWI as she was about to walk into the bathroom. DD7 was pretty excited about that.

Same night we saw Howie Long at the BWI valet waiting for his car. He took a couple of pictures with people, but didn't seem quite as friendly as he does on tv.

We saw the Imagination Movers at CR, grabbing a coffee in the lobby.
Can you tell we have a little one? People are probably saying, who? They are a kids group from Disney.

Mrs. Disney Ron

Can anyone tell who this is in the front row of Splash???

Hint: "Footloose...Footloose.....Kick off your Sunday shoes..." :rolleyes1

By the time I get back to my resort I am usually so tired that for me to anyone they would have to be in my room.:rotfl:

We saw the Doodlebops at the Toy Store in DTD in Nov 06. Later we went to GF to have dinner and saw them "out of character" in the lobby!! DD kept looking around and saying "where? I don't see the Doodlebops" when Dh and I were talking about it being them!:rotfl:

We've seen Phil Kehogan (The Amazing Race) at Epcot -2007.
We've met Cat Cora (while she was filming ad spots)-Nov 2007.
Seen Andie McDowell hanging around MK while she was in town for Candelight Processional - Dec 2007.
Met Stephen Curtis Chapman at BW in Dec 2006.

The highlight of my DD's list is John Tartaglia (Johnny-from Johnny and the Sprites). He was walking up to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot as we were exiting. I pointed him out to my daughter and he immediately came over and talked to her for about 5 min. He is a super-nice guy, and even though it's been almost 2 years, she still talks about it.
