Do you buy something just because a certain celebrity is advertising it? Or would you merely be more likely to? Or couldn't you care less if your favorite entertainer was pushing this brand over another?

I will go so far as to say I have rarely if ever bought anything because of an ad.

So no.

It actually might make me NOT buy a product if a celebrity is shilling it. That bugs me for some reason. I thought about buying Lauren Hutton makeup the other day when I came across it on an infomerical but she ended up annoying me so much I decided against it.

DH bought a Nike T-shirt (the one that wicks away sweat) because a picture of Tom Brady was on the display. He's now looking at a 800 Series Movado (keep dreaming buddy) because guess who he saw on the ad? :sad2: I swear he would leave me for Tom Brady.

Me, I am not so easily swayed by a pretty face. :rotfl:

No. I'll only buy something if I like it.
Anyone can get paid to pitch a product. That doesn't mean they like it or have even tried it.

All commercials are paid actors as far as I am concerned so that gives them no credibility - paycheck in return for endorsement will alter the truth.
