Celebrity Apprentice

I liked Penn, was really hoping Aubrey would lose and go home.

Aubrey didn't win by the true definition of winning, she really just didn't lose as much as Clay's team... KWIM

I think that Lisa could have been brought back because she didn't have any real defined role in this task and is a ticking time bomb with regard to ALL of the previous tasks. Too bad he didn't take her back with him and Penn.

For a while there, it was sure looking like it would be Clay! I was surprised. I like Penn, but I am relieved it wasn't Clay.

I like Dayana, but there has to be something to this being brought back to the boardroom every single time. She's getting annoying.

When the season first started I hardly knew who Clay was and didn't think too much of him after the first episode or so, but I have really come around to rooting for him.

I don't feel "You earned it" is pompous in the least.

I'll say it......Clay's team won by a mile, as far as I'm concerned. There is a reason men's' cologne often features a beautiful woman, preferably sprawled all over a man. IT SELLS!!!! As far as "You Earned It" vs. "Trust Your Instincts".......I think You Earned It (Success) is head and shoulders above the other.

To point out that it sounds pompous when Donald Trump's photo is the illustration of "pompous" in the dictionary was rich indeed. :rotfl2: And really, I don't think the slogan is pompous. It reminds me of Loreal's "I'm Worth It" campaign. Penn was right. Successful people DO tend to believe they had earned that success.

If they had brought in 100 men to judge the respective ads, I think 95 would have gone for Clay's team's.

I really wanted Aubrey to leave tonight. Can't stand her.

Me too. :headache:

I think Trump wants her to go too. So all he would have had to say is, "You were Project manager and you admit you came up with all the ideas. You're fired."

I can't believe that Aubrey won! :confused3 Clay's display was so much better. I guess they really liked that solgan.

I think Penn should go home.

Aubrey's display had more interactive stuff. She had the scent sticks and the brochures.

I thought it would be Clay too. Trump couldn't let go if, "But you're PM and approved that bad slogan."

Clay also approved of the good ideas Penn came up with too.

I like Dayana, but there has to be something to this being brought back to the boardroom every single time. She's getting annoying.

Seriously, is Dayana sleeping with Trump? Is she doing a Monica Lewinsky? How is it she gets by week after week when stronger players are fired. :confused3

I don't either. When lazy people come up to me and act like whatever money & success I have must have been luck, I have learned to tell them I got my degree at NYU and have continued to study & train at other places and I friggin EARNED and my success through hard work and putting in the time & gaining the experience it takes to be one. I had a great teacher who drilled it into us to OWN our successes, not to let others minimize them. (But we aren't snooty about it like Harvard & Yale grads who have that sense of entitlement. :snooty: )

I think "Trust you instints" has nothing to do with "sucess". I think it's a stupid slogan. I also hated her display. Eirk looked like a sucess "want-ta-be" rather than a sucessful man. A "sucessful" man should have been displayed at a much larger image looking down over his "empire".

I liked Clay's display much better. I think if they would have had sent sicks or something they would have won.

Yeah, I was SO laughing about them pointing out 'arrogance!' LOL! Trump=Arrogance, imho. I think Clay should have gone home. It was Clay who said 'no' to the hand out, Clay who didn't have any good ideas so had to let his team choose what was happening, Clay who just stood back and let everyone else make the decisions. WHAT, if anything, did Clay do? I actually like Clay but he deserved to go home.

I thought Clay's display had scent sticks sitting in a glass right beside him when he did the presentation. He just didn't offer them to the ladys with a brochure. I liked Clay's better too.

ITA...and remember, Trump himself said he didn't mind it. He did like Forte's better, but he didn't dislike "You Earned it"

and Clay who dropped the ball during the presentation..(I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to hear crickets chirping) I was not against Clay, but other PM's have been fired for what he got away with last night, so Trump will react whatever way the wind is blowing his hair. Penn alluded to that in the cab, using the loose cannon analogy.

I think Trump is getting flack for not firing Dayana and that is why he is after her. From Melania , perhaps? :rolleyes1 I don't think he really has a reason based on tasks, I mean, Theresa, o.k. she can run in heels, what has she done? he just doesn't want to look like she is outsmarting him in the boardroom anymore. Her survival is making him look bad in a way. She shouldn't have been in there again last night..she is literally a victim of Trumps "bring 2" rule. Now that her team is down to 3, no way she doesn't come back again if they lose. Looks like she is the PM next week and Lisa goes off the deep end again (Clay too).

Aubrey, nice spanx when on Arsenios shoulders, lol.....and what was that anyway? Her background looked like a middle schooler made it. The take homes saved that win for them, hands down. I was glad Trump spread the 100,000 around, ESPECIALLY since he already gave Aubrey the $10 grand when she was bawling a few weeks ago. I wish last night was Ivanka and George, like the early seasons..I bet Aubrey would have had to answer to a few more reasons why it was so close.

oh well, I am guessing Trump gets rid of both Dayana and Theresa together, leaving the 4 most controversial ones~ Arsenio, Clay, Aubrey and Lisa~ and provides the most opportunity for some fireworks in their tasks for ratings.

another reason Clay should have been fired. He stumbled during the presentation . I wonder why that wasn't brought up

I thought Trump was leaning towards firing Clay for a moment there...especially when Dayana said that's who she would fire (although, she always says the project manager should be fired). In the end, though, it's the old "Penn came up with most of the ideas" vs. "Clay approved those ideas as project manager" argument. That seems to happen on every task...one person has a lot of the ideas, and the other responsible person is the project manager. In the case of Aubrey's team, she did it all, so she would have been fired if they'd lost.

Once again, Aubrey was totally full of herself, and refused to take any criticism seriously. Losing would have definitely put her in her place, but I did think her team did the better job overall. I didn't like their display, but the overall presentation was good. Clay's team just had a lousy presentation. I agree with a lot of the posters in this thread..."You earned it" is a great slogan and not pompous at all. I felt bad for Penn, since he is very intelligent and has great ideas.

Normally I don't agree with Aubrey on anything, but she was right this time when she said she came up with the "Trust your instincts" slogan. She said it first, and then Arsenio looked it up online.

It was nice to see Lisa act a bit calmer this week. Looks like next week will be a rehash of the same old stuff.

I almost got the feeling that Trump was trying to get a doozie of a reaction out of Dayana saying he would love to fire her, wants to fire her....but she remained calm. Now that he knows she won't get dramatic in just about any situation, she's toast as she isn't controversial enough for his ratings. ;)

I dislike Aubrey. And I totally Laughed out Loud when she made the statement about "no bad comments" from George when he came to "check up on them" Arsenio laughed and said about the Rolls Royce front and the picture.
She is so full of herself she dosen't even notice that no one likes her. :confused3 I do kind of feel bad though, because I know she rules the world and all and has never made a mistake :worship:

A thread with my people!

I thought "trust your instinct" would be a good slogan for an animal themed or named cologne, but not "Success" by Trump. "You earned it" was by faaaar a better slogan. (Jaguar - Trust your instinct! or Yappy Dog - trust your instinct!...see? Works so much better!) :lmao:

I am surprised no one blamed Clay for the photograph being too large on his team, since he was the one who insisted it be so.

Dyana drive me nuts by having all these great ideas...in the eleventh hour when it's too late to execute them. It seems like she sits on them, just so she can say "I did suggest that" knowing there is no way they will have time to follow through.

I was rooting for Penn, and I am sorry to see him go. He was a large part of what made this group fun for me.
