I've read about the town online, and driven past signs, but has anyone actually been? Is there anything to see or do there?

Thanks :-)

We went to church, farmer's market and breakfast there. Cute town. Not sure what there is to do at night.

Thanks. We were looking to do something different while on our holiday next summer and thought it might be a pretty place to visit (or so it looks online).

Is it a welcoming place for tourists?

My DH calls it STEPFORD but I love it! It is a cute little town. I have not been there in a year of two but you can eat at the Columbia Restaurant which is pretty good. It is worth visiting......just wear your aluminium foil hat or they will try to control you mind. :rotfl2: I would live there in a HEATBEAT but it would have to be as a single person.:rotfl:

I used to own a house there. There are some cute shops and really good restaurants. There is the fountain that the kids play in. Occasionally they do different events on the Main St. Like for Christmas they had Santa, it was all decorated and they had snow. They do fireworks over the lake during 4th of July.

At least they used to. Its been awhile since I lived there.

They have events listed on the site:

We keep talking about moving back to FL and I would love to live in Celebration again. Its so cute, and you are SUPER close to the parks.

The diner has the best breakfast burrito! We used to always go there on Sundays for brunch.

Thanks! We'll definitely keep it on our list of places to visit then, and we'll try our best to fit it in.

:-)

I was just there 2 weeks ago. We went for ice cream at Kirlins and had the best Salted Caramel Ice Cream! Then we sat by the pond. My husband watched the turtles and I took a cat nap. I awoke to see a gator swimming around. Wonder if DH would have woken me up to save me? Columbia is really good too.

We went to Celebration Town Tavern 2 years in a row and than walked around the lake and the town. Very nice place.

I've been meaning to go to the Celebration Pie festival for years now.

We stay 3 months near Celebration...we tell folks not to miss Town Tavern, or the cool 50's restaurant next door. For a fun afternoon head into Celebration and just drive around for an hour, get lost, Oooooh and Ahhhhhhat the "perfect" (Stepford!)neighborhoods and homes from 300k to 10 mil.
Then end up downtown for lunch or dinner. Walk over to the hotel and checkout the cool little lobby and bar and the art rooms.

Can't wait for January and and a blackened Mahi sandwich at TTavern and a chicken pot pie at the 50's diner.

Enjoy...ted
