I've been to Disney lots of times but never been to Celebration. I've heard it's suppose to be good. What exactly is there?

Celebration is just a town filled with cute houses really. There is a town centre with shops, restaurants and a hotel. It's situated around a lake. It's very pretty and I'd recommened going for the day.

We went for the first time last year and had a lovely relaxing afternoon - walk round the lake, coffee in Starbucks (while some of the others watched the world cup final) and a great meal at celebration town tavern. The only problem we had was getting out - we drove round for about 30 mins before we could find the was out!! Gorgeous houses - very stepford wives.

Its a lovely place to visit! In October they dress the whole place very halloweeny and have tons of pumpkins for sale - loads of people really make a massive effort and dress their houses up for halloween!

At Christmas, they pipe snow into Celebration and the decorations on the houses are lovely too! Little cute shops and things in the centre around the lake!

I personally have a love for the place because I got married at the stunning golf club in 2009 and the setting was gorgeous :lovestruc

i went for the first time last june to have dinner at the Celebration town tavern...
i enjoyed it so much i took my mom and sister when they came to orlando to join me...

and they enjoyed dinner there so much, we went again the next night...

a very relaxing dinner for a very reasonable price...

is it just me that found the whole place a little too stepford and sterile?

I think it sounds great, prob a bit sad but I love seeing them type of houses in films etc, wud luv to see it all decorated at Halloween or christmas, anyone got any pics? ;)

the cafe on the water front is amazing, brilliant, definatley worth a visit! It's a typical american diner and the food is awesome. plenty of nearby parking too.

If you search for ideas for halloween my thread will come up with pics of the Celebration pumpkin patch.

We have eaten at the market st cafe - nice diner style food. Sit afterwards on the rocking chairs by the lake. there is also an ice cream parlour called kilwins.

we've had this on our itinerary for our last 2 visits but it always got 'bumped' in favour of something else. This time it's not getting bumped!

I think it depends when you visit. If you visit midday, mid-week when most people are at work, it can seem that way. At weekends and evenings, when there's lots going on, I love the small town America feel. :)

It was overcast the day we went so my photos are a bit grey but here you go....

We enjoyed spending a few hours in celebration. It made a change to do something different, whilst I wouldn't go back every trip but it's a nice place to have lunch & a wander around. Next time i'd go when the Farmers Market is on. :thumbsup2

We had lunch here and watched the world go by...
