I am booked into Celebration World Resort in Kissimmee. Supposed to be new, I wanted to know if anyone has every stayed there and their experience.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

It hasn't had the most favorable reviews on tripadvisor. Most of what I read was people complaing about thin walls. I almost stayed there last summer through SkyAuction but the dates on the auction, which showed open, were not available once I won and we ended up at Vacation Village which we liked alot.

I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a resort. I am not too fussy as long as it is clean and has no major issues. Celebration is a newer resort so that is good.

If you want, take a look at the reviews on tripadvisor at

http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...lebration_World_Resort-Kissimmee_Florida.html

No matter what, you will be going to Disney so it will be a fun trip.

Vacation village would be a better stay than Celebration World

have stayed at both within the last two years

We stayed there last year with no problems. I read the review on TripAdvisor and wondered if we were at the same place. We were there in late August.

It was quiet and all the staff we encountered was friendly. The units were not as spacious as Wyndham Palms, but there was room for all 5 of us to relax. (We had a two bedroom.)

Both checking in and checking out were without incident. Maybe we're heavy sleepers, or the adjoining units were unoccupied, but did not have the noice problems reported on TripAdvisor.

All promised utensils for the kitchen were in place, and we had a washer/dryer in the unit. The living room in our unit faced the wooded area. One night we were able to catch the fire from the engines of a shuttle or something that was launched.

The place did not have any construction going on, but it appeared that land was being prepped for more units.

If you're looking for children's activities, don't think they had much or anything, for that matter.

If I could get a good price, I'd stay there again. These are just our experiences, though.

Have a happy trip wherever you stay!!!

Popsicle,
thank you for your reply, I keep getting such negative comments that I started to wonder if we had made a mistake.
Can you tell me how long it took you to get to the parks also what month did you go. We got our reservation thru RCI my timeshare exchange. It is supposed to sleep 8 adults privately I called and they have me confirmed into a 3 bedroom unit. so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

We went in August. The place is a couple of miles south of 192. The trip to maingate was no more than 10 minutes. The Universal ride was about 20 to 25 minutes. The location was good.

I read the negative reviews, too. We aren't picky, but we don't rate every place we've stayed as great, either. Maybe something was going on that we missed, but like I said, we'd stay there again.

Someone posted this same question about a week ago, I said we stayed there and enjoyed it! someone else said the reivews were bad and they had a terrible time. I'd stay there again. It was great, clean and very nice. We had one of the smaller lock off one bedrooms. It still had everything we needed, washer and dryer, dish washer ( with a full kitchen) It was just small. Clean and well kept. We were there in 2001 and loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful ! Landscaping was pleasing. We had a great week there. We own several timeshares (DVC, Silverleaf, Bluegreen and Spinnaker) and I was pleased with the quality of this resort.
