Celebration Town Tavern

Hi, Johnny - me again! :rotfl:

Not the best place we've ever eaten - a bit nondescript, I'd say. The good thing about eating in Celebration (at least during the evening) is that you get to see a real community going about its business. The diner there is good fun. Last time we were there it was like an episode straight out of a US sitcom (think a cross between Happy Days and That 70s Show) with the Sheriff amongst some of the locals eating out and the server sitting in the booth with him. Everyone there seemed to know one another.

Hi (again) :)

To be honest Deb I would just be glad of a drink and maybe something to eat too, it's not necessarily a gourmet thing I am after. Just somewhere new to try, we (as you know and as I have mentioned 1000 times) ;) are kind of limited as Josh really doesn't like dining out at all and often would rather play in the pool in the late afternoon/early evening.
So my question for this and Gaylord Palms was really just trying to find somewhere interesting within easy reach. Worst case scenario is I can go to both on my own although we will attempt to go together obviously.

We went to Celebration in March and had a meal there. I can't remember the name of the place but it was quite a large diner type place on the corner of the main street overlooking the lake (not the same place you are considering). Food was good and plentiful and friendly service. We took a walk around the lake after dinner and stopped by at Sherlock's tea room when we returned for cheesecake to take away - scrummy! Celebration was something out of a film set, almost too perfect in a way, but nontheless a nice break away from Disney.

Just been checking out Celebrations web site from you link Johnny & have found someting for us when we go in November & might give The Town Tavern a go .
We went to Celebration on our last trip in the day time for a walk about & loved it there and with all our planning for this trip i had totally forgotten about going back.
Thanks for the link and if you manage to have a meal or drinks at the Tavern with Josh let me know what you thought of it.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that Josh likes it at Celebration with the quite & carming surroundings:thumbsup2

We were taken for lunch there following a 'timeshare' presentation a few years ago :)

I have to agree with Deb about the food but it was good fun, relaxing and I'd certainly go there again :thumbsup2

Thanks for all the replies :)

Jill I will let you know how we get on
