Celebration to get a Publix

Looks like a full-size Publix Supermarket is getting ready to be built in Celebration at the Water Tower Shoppes area. This should be a nice place for grocery runs while at the World!

I'm celebrating the solidly rumored Publix that is going in about a mile from my house.

The Publix on US 192 and International Drive is a great store in a easy to get to location. I think getting into Celebration is a bit more complicated.

There are other Publix locations that are closer for a WDW guest but I am excited to see a new Publix. You can't beat their prepared food and bakery!!

where is the closest publix to WDW?
i couldn't figure out where it was, so i drove us over to winn dixie (which didn't have much of what we were looking for)...

The closest one to AKL is Xentury city. I'm recommending them because they made a nice donation to our GKTW fundraiser.

Hmmmm ... isn't there a Publix in off Orange Lake Blvd and Irlo Bronson? That would be MUCH closer (like 15-20min closer) to AKL then International Drive & Irlo Bronson.

That really makes NO sense since that is literally within walking distance of the Xentury City Publix.

However, it'd be nice for all the DCL office employees, since the offices are just across the street. I used to walk over to Mulligan's Pub for lunch all the time when I worked there.

Don't get me wrong I like shopping at Publix but It's already expensive enough. I will hate to see how much they charge for food in this one.

Really? I never thought of Publix as being expensive. I thought they were quite reasonable with good sales. I love Publix, I'd kill for one here by me. We have mostly Giant Eagle stores here and they are outrageously expensive.
