Has anyone ever stayed at Celebration Suites at Old Town? We usually stay at WBC but we left our trip planning a bit late this year and there's no availability there. I found this place listed online and the rates are amazing, especially for a suite with a full kitchen. We're a family of 6 so finding a room that is big enough to sleep all of us is always a bit of a challenge. this place seems like a perfect solution and the pictures seem to show a decent hotel. However the super low rate ($78/night during Spring Break) honestly has me a little concerned. It feels like a too good to be true situation. Has anyone actually stayed here that can vouch for (or against) the property?

Old Town is iffy...I live close by in Celebration, I went there once about 10 years ago and that was enough for me. The hotel you are talking about has been around for a very long time and has been several different hotels over the years. Some People live there full time and there are often homeless around that area.

We stayed there years ago when it was the Days Inn Suites. It was a bit dicey then. I thought it was fine. My wife wasn't quite so comfortable. The rooms are huge, like the size of a nice apartment, but I wouldn't stay there again. Why? Because for not much more than that you can rent a condo in a nice resort community like Windsor Palms or similar. You should be able to find a 3-bedroom condo for no more than $100/night. That extra $20/night will be money very well spent. You'll be in a much more modern, cleaner, better maintained, and safer location with a clubhouse and pool with various amenities. And you won't be surrounded by shady clientele or folks getting drunk at Old Town and keeping you awake at night. You won't have the traffic to deal with either.
Go to VRBO.com or http://www.windsor-palms-florida.net/.

As a local, I agree here. I would "pass" on this one, but that's just me.

Thanks for the info folks! Especially you locals. :D We're "semi-local" in the we live just north of Daytona, but not local enough that I know the Orlando area that well. I think we've decided on renting at Windsor Hills after reading the reply's. Thanks for possibly saving my vacation! :love2:

You will not be disappointed. Windsor Hills is a huge upgrade from staying at Old Town. Night and day for sure.

As you are from north of Daytona why not pick up a copy of the" Hotel Coupons Green coloured book"

given out FREE at Denny's & other places

It Was called RoomSaver

You will find plenty of choice there
