As someone who has been attending Potter events in this fandom for 10 years, I am not at all surprised that there is not detailed info on things. It's usually this way, especially when it comes to cast events. Usually you get a small list of who is "scheduled to attend" with the notation of, "Participants could change without further notice." I've attended many conventions, autograph events, releases ect in the Potter fandom and they always give you the least amount of info as possible.
For instance, I just attended the Scream Awards taping for their Tribute to Potter. To get on the invite list you had to apply for it, then if you made the list you had to wait until the day of to find out the secret location in NYC for the taping. They at first told us nothing about the event or who was coming, then they told us it was Daniel Radcliffe but nothing else. Five hours before we were to show up, they sent us the location which was in fact just a random street corner. From there they walked us into a theater and sat us there to wait for roughly 4 hours. Finally someone came in and walked us outside and around the block to Lincoln Center then finally gave us instructions and jobs(my job was to stand where Dan entered and cheer for him...LOL). And through all of this, not one Potter fan there thought any of it was out of ordinary as all of us were used to it.
So really I'm not too worried. There are stars who have confirmed they will be there such as Evanna Lynch, Katie Leung and the Phelps twins as they have been tweeting about it. Universal sent us the email on where to pick up stuff and where to go which is far more info than I'm used to getting for these things.
