Celebration Hotel

Looking for a little bit of " chic " luxury, not too expensive and thought the pictures of the Celebration Hotel, looked stunning. Both DH and i have had a few health problems this year - and this is likely to be our last trip " over the pond" for a while, what with all the credit crunch problems both at home and in the US. Just wondered if anyone has ever stayed here and if they would recommend it.

I have never stayed at the Celebration Hotel, but that's because I live in Celebration. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, has a great restaurant and a wonderful view in the middle of downtown Celebration with so much to do in town.

I just stayed there in June with another couple. it is a very small hotel mostly for adults. The pool is very small overlooking the big pond the town is built around. The restaurant is pricey but there are 2 local town restaurants that have good food at more reasonable prices. One thing is that some of the standard rooms were very small. one they put us in was a tiny box(king bed) that had french doors but they could not open. This was because it was on the ground floor. We asked to get moved to 2 queen bed room and that was the more traditional size.This was on the 3rd floor. we could open that french door to a very small balcony. Our computer would not connect to their wireless system although we don't have problems with this in all other hotels. i heard another person complain too. They have one computer available to use for the whole hotel so we had to use that. If you want to stay in a nice hotel, try the Gaylord Palms or Reunion hotel resorts. Much bigger but really nice with many more amenities. Some people like the Swan/Dolphin for a bit more upscale and their prices are cheaper than disney villa properties.
