Today was EMH at Animal Kingdom and we didn’t quite make it getting there by 8.45sm was our best shot! Anyway it was a lovely clear day again.

First stop was Expedition Everest for our fastpasses then over to Kilimanjaro Safari. We saw quite a few animals along the way.

The lion was just visible asleep on the rocks.

Then we saw the warthogs and other animals that we usually see.

After this we went towards Discovery Island and got a great view of EE in the distance.

We carried on past the Tree of life and went down inside it to see It’s Tough To Be A Bug. The wonderful carvings in the Tree of Life as you walk into the attraction.

The posters in the waiting area are nicely themed!

By now we were a little hungry so stopped for a hot chocolate and cookie, before heading over to Expedition Everest.

The views from the ride are amazing although brief! Then we went over to Festival of the Lion King and whilst we were waiting Chip and Dale came out and Chip ‘stole’ a shoe that a girl had left on the floor and ran off. Only to return a minute or so later!

Once again Disney cannot be faulted for a great live show.

The show was as good as ever and after this we decided to go and get the bus to POFQ so that we could get the boat to DTD and go past the Tree House Villas. POFQ is such a lovely compact and attractive resort.

The THV’s are coming on rather well.

Then we carried on down the Sassagoula River past SSR towards DTD.

For lunch we wanted something simple so went to McD’s :rotfl:

After this we went back to SSR for a swim but the clouds soon came over and we retreated back to the studio. But as dusk came there was a beautiful sunset.

This evening we fancied Italian so headed off to the Olive Garden. First up were the breadsticks :thumbsup2

Then we had a shared appetiser of stuffed mushrooms and fried mozzarella.

The mixed salad was then brought out.

I then had the chicken and broccoli pasta.

While Nathan had the chicken and steak mixed grill.

After this we had no room for dessert and headed back to SSR but did nip over to the Artist Palette to get a mug of hot choccie :)

Looks like you all had a good time. Treehouses are looking good, they are on my to do list fancied staying there the first time we saw them way back in 1997. Glad to see them return.

More great food pictures Claire. I think I might have to work Olive Garden into our plans somewhere.

I would love to stay in the treehouse villas but I think they are a few too many points for us.

We saw the THV when we went on a boat cruise from DTD and wondered what they were. Thankyou for clearing that up for us.
Great pics again - but you never told us what your plans are for tomorrow :thumbsup2
