Welcome to Our Room!
We left the Magic Kingdom and drove over to the Contemporary Resort, hoping we'd be able to check-in a little early. Luckily, we got a parking spot right up front and we unloaded our luggage for the weekend.
When I booked our weekend trip, there were no rooms available at the Contemporary in the tower, just in the wing. I kept calling back and checking for availability, but nothing ever opened up. I really wanted to stay at the Contemporary, so we decided wed just stay in the wing. It's also cheaper to stay in the wing, instead of staying in the tower.
We went to the front desk to check-in and it was actually the first time I had even been in this area of the resort. We were told our room was ready and that we had gotten a free upgrade to the tower!

I couldn't believe it! I was so thrilled! We had gotten on the 7th floor overlooking Bay Lake. I was so excited!

We were wished Happy Anniversary and we made our way over to the elevators to go check-out our new room. We got in the elevator and I was jumping up and down with excitement.
We found our room and our door was overlooking the monorail station below us. It was a perfect spot! We got in our room and we couldn't believe how amazing it looked!

We just love the room and I quickly ran over to check out our view!
Our view was fantastic! Our room was right in the middle of the resort, so we had the perfect view of Bay Lake, the pools, and the beach.
I was so impressed with our room at the Contemporary and we even had our own desk and computer with free Internet access. It was really neat how we could actually do everything via the computer, like request room service, etc.
The best part of our room had to be the large flat screen TV! We also loved the lighting artwork below it! I must say that this was my favorite resort so far that we have stayed in at Walt Disney World!
The bathroom was just as cool and contemporary! The towel racks were really neat and we just loved the sinks. There was a separate room for the toilet with a sliding door and the shower & sinks were in a large area. The lighting was actually in the mirrors on the wall, which was such a neat touch!
More to Come!
